Good Morning, Y'all. Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'm hearing a new sound outside my window, but I haven't been able to attach it to a particular bird yet. Whatever it is, it's very vocal and insistent, even though I've already fed them, and there's plenty of seeds left. Perhaps it's hungry for something else, or maybe babies are being born? Is it too soon for that? I went to bed early last night, but was awoken around 11pm when someone who had no good reason to wake me up called. Ugh. I have a little corned beef for later, and will cook up some potatoes and carrots to go with the meat. It's another take it easy day, still recuperating from the yard work the other day. Hope everyone has a lovely day, the sun just broke through the clouds here :).

Yum, those look delicious @Babs Hunt. Are you going to flavor them as well, or just use green food coloring? Green is also one of my favorite colors. I have a difficult time limiting anything to just one, so I have several favorites. I've been meaning to make pancakes, but it never occurred to me to make them green. I'm sure your grandchildren will love them!

No flavor this time...children are so picky sometimes...it's best to take one step at a time with them. :)
EasterBunny pancake.jpg I'm going to make them these around Easter time. My grandkids all love pancakes anytime of the day and they love their Granny Barbara to make them for them. :D

Kate, not a boot sale, I think that's UK. In the US , some parts of the country call it garage sale and yard sale. I think only my part of the country calls them "tag sales" as well. silly.

We call them garage sales or yard sales, Kate. Think the English call them Boot but it could be what we call a flea market. Holly will have to answer.

@Ruby Begonia , I've never heard Tag sale.

Whatever they are called...going to them is fun, having them is not! :)

    Good luck, @Kate Ellery!

*boot sales* in the uk are literally that...junk (quality items) :p you sell out of the 'boot' (trunk) of your car...usually a weekend thing where everyone goes to a local park, or a hard standing area.. and sells all their junk from trestle tables

Garage sales haven't caught on here because generally most front lawns are way too small to hold any kind of household item sale on them..

Ok, so a boot sale is a flea market here. Not out of your car usually, think you have to rent a table.

Garage sales are mostly in the driveway, here anyway, in front of your garage.

Yes Car Boot sales in the UK are not usually out of the car boot/trunk itself you rent or provide your own table.

Good morning from a cool Friday in Worcester at just on freezing point, this cool weather seems to be with us for a while. I will do a food shop today and some tidying up around the house.

Have a good pain free day.

Well it kinda is out of the car because you have to have your car right there at the table that's holding your stuff for sale...like this...

    Car Boot Sale

    Measham-Carboot-5.jpg

Sometimes they'll call it an indoor car boot sale where you sell directly from a rented trestle table, rather than from the boot of the car... but it's only a new name for what was once called a Jumble sale...
