Good Morning Terry and all.... Same grey overcast morning here too Terry...roll on days of blue skies and outdoor lunches... Have a great Sunday everyone...
Good Morning to all of you! It's still dark outside over here so it's not really morning yet to me but it is time for coffee and I'm having a wonderful mug of hazelnut coffee with Cinnamon Vanilla creamer on this not yet light outside morning. Here in Louisiana I think we are having our last "cold" spell before Spring is in full bloom. Last week during the day we actually got into the 80's and now it's probably in the 50's. My Honey and I will be going to our Grandson's 5th year old Birthday Party today...a combo Party and barbecue at my daughter's home. I hope everyone has a Blessed Day in every way. And @Diane Lane...I hope you heard good news about the health of your friend. I hope all of you who are waiting for Spring weather....gets some of that real soon.
Enjoy your party day @Babs Hunt , Happy Birthday to your grandson... It's 11.30am here and the sun has come out and we have glorious blue skies, but it's still quite cold...we may go out for lunch later.. I'll see if I can drag myself from my comfort zone after a long hard week at work..
Good morning everyone. I cut and hauled a few saplings yesterday but the (1) cold wind started blowing hard, the (2) chain came off the saw and (3) my knee was hurting so I didn't last long. I usually only need one excuse to quit working and I had three.
Looks like the Sun will come up this Morning for sure. Happy 1st Day of Spring Everyone! Its up in all it's glory.
Good Good morning and Happy Happy Spring! I'm watching The Sunday Morning Show and they just did a segment about Norman Lewis, an African-American Artist who died 30 years ago and his paintings only sold for 20,000 at the most. He told his mother and sister that he would be appreciated in the future…and he is. He just had a painting sell for 800million. Not this one pictured. This is one of my favorites and will sell for much more some day. African-American Art has become quite popular in recent years…no longer a bargain. They said, "If this is a racial thing then the story's not over".
We had all the windows open yesterday..let in the fresh air. The yards are mowed and we ate our dinner on the patio. It's just fun to eat outside and listen to the birds and such. We're supposed to get a few sprinkles today..but it's welcome. @Holly Saunders ..hope your day off is comfy and restful. @Lara Moss ..lovely paintings . @Terry Page ..picnic looks perfect. sending happy wishes to everyone here for a peaceful day.
Good morning had a horrid night. For some reason Pickles was anxious and didn't want to sleep. He whined for a long time. I kept letting him out and then finally he fell asleep. I woke to whining again at 2 am and the minute I open my eyes the power went out, and all the beeping of things started. First thought someone cut my power and my alarm was beeping but after using my phone as light I finally found a flashlight that worked! Then found the number to the electric company and was reassured that indeed there was a power outage in my area. At least it wasn't a fuse or murderer. Fell back asleep and a couple hours later, Pickles woke me up to go outside. Don't know what his problem is, he seemed anxious and afraid last night. Because when I let him out he'd be fine.
G'Morning, Y'all. The sun is shining, the house is chilly (yay) and the wind is gusting again. I could live with this weather year round, with a few fluctuations. My TV service cut out last night, I guess because of the wind, but it came back on fairly quickly. Thanks @Babs Hunt no good news yet. Phone rang at 4:30 a.m., but calling number didn't even register. I don't know if that was a fluke, a drunk, or something else. Hopefully it wasn't from the hospital. I'm going to call there in a few minutes. I woke up to see on Facebook that a friend's daughter has died. No details, so I'm thinking it might have been drug related, although hopefully I'm wrong about that. I'm thankful for the lovely weather. Everyone but me is fed, and I'm still drinking my (always decaf) tea from earlier. Ulcer's acting up, so not sure if it's going to be a coffee day, but the caffeine would sure help. Hope everyone's enjoying this lovely day.
Oooh lord @Diane Lane I think you need a (((hug))) hope you get some good news about your friend....and I'm so sorry to hear about your friends' child, may her tortured soul R.I.P
Thanks @Holly Saunders, hugs are always appreciated. I called my friend, but still no news about a diagnosis, test results still pending. Someone came into the room while we were talking, probably a doctor or nurse, so hopefully I'll hear more after a while. I'm sure I'll be hearing more about the death, but no details are being given right now. On the plus side, I made coffee and breakfast, so I should be waking up soon.
Happy Monday morning all . We had a very busy but rewarding garage sale ,we didn't think we had much of value just stuff cluttering the shed and inside cupboards but we ended up with $500 each in our pockets for our efforts and that was only one day ..we opened the doors yesterday but it was very quiet so we decided to maybe give it a try to clear the remaining stuff next weekend being Easter as our area is usually packed with tourists for the 4 day holiday .
Good morning everybody it's 6:30 am here and cool at 2c with a clear sky, yesterday turned out sunny in the end so hopefully today will be the same. I am still waking up with coffee and see it's another Monday, they seem to come round pretty quickly lately. Have a good one.
Good morning all. My hips woke me about an hour ago, so I thought I'd see if anyone was up to any shenanigans. The sandman must have just skipped my place, because it is so quite around SO and my house. Izzy isn't looking very happy at all that my iPad screen is shinning into his dream time. Just one of the hazards of letting mommy sleep in the bed too.
