    The 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies came out 9 out of 10 constructed, but so far all I have eaten deconstructed before they met my lips. :mad: The pieces tasted great.:)

    Daggone it.

    I quit ice cream and cookies maybe 2 months ago and have dropped over 10#. If I want to have that stuff again, I gotta get active first. Telling myself that being chased in my dreams is burning calories no longer cuts it.

    So, what brand of fudgesicle did you get, @Hedi Mitchell?

    My favorite 24 hour diner back near DC made linguine with red clam sauce with clams in the shell. It was sooooooo good.

    I make the white clam sauce with linguine but I usually don't have the whole clams around when I do. :( But I've had it in restaurants before with whole clams.

    I made clams casino last week and asked @Faye Fox if she wanted to come to dinner, but she said the 3,000 mile drive was a bit much for her. [​IMG]

    For a stretch of time, my younger brother had a weekly appointment that brought him close to where I lived, so we'd get together for dinner. Of all the goofy places, Hooters had the best oysters. We would get them raw, steamed, fried, whatever. We never got out of there for under $100, and neither of us drank alcohol.

    I've never really been a big clam guy (they're too strong for me), although I've been clamming as a kid. Nor do I like mussels (they're also too strong for me.)

    I love it all. . Try mussels in marinara sauce sometime.

    I make something I call seafood chowder too. Whatever kind of seafood you want or can get, smoked sausage, ears of corn cut into thirds so they fit in the pot, onion, etc. all with seafood stock.

    There's a Texas Roadhouse in Charlottesville. I've made the 40 minute drive to eat there a couple of times. The food is very good. I had BBQ the first time and a huge steak the second time.

    Only the good kind Blue Bell..but John i do not see it happening again anywhere soon. i cried on the way home from store this morning..every friggen thing has gone up again since last a week. :(

    I was reading an article that applied the original way of calculating inflation, not the way the government changed it some time ago.

    Inflation on the things that we really spend our money on is not just under 9%, it's nearly 18%...and rising.
