Took this a minute ago of our confederate rose bush, blooming. Tonight they will turn dark pink almost red as they close. Not sure what these are, but they smell great to me.
Probably, Shirley, I will have to research them to see, if no one knows what they are, I guess. I always love smelling honeysuckles, thanks for posting them. Look how much these confederate roses changed in less than five hours.
We do, they're sweet and tasty, had a lot of pears this year and the valencia orange tree, didn't produce this summer but got tall and bigger, so I think will be next summer.
LOL Teresa, I do at times, like the figs for instance have just about stipped producing now. I like to eat some flowers too, sucked on Honey Suckles all my life here in the south.
marie...being a southern gal...me too....ate lots of creesy greens...polk salad..pawpaws....ha!. those old ways be coming back around!
We had poke salat growing near the hen pen. It was enough to mess with. IOW,it wasn't a mess of poke salet.. We always cook it then pour off the water then cook it again so it doesn't make us sick.
These silkweed plants spread all around the property and the butterflies love them. Marie took this photo and turned the camera sideways. (Fixed !, YS)
Teresa, thats a plant that looks like it but this is Yellow Silkweed. https://i.etsystatic.com/23540301/r/il/ca133a/2742761865/il_794xN.2742761865_buf2.jpg
