Online forum stalking. Some guy got embarrassed when his ill-informed, attempted put-down bit him in the ass. Next thing I knew, he was replying to anything and everything I posted with juvenile insults and more attempted -putdowns.
Being among like-minded people can make you feel more comfortable and welcome if that's what you are looking for or need. Personally, I have found such forums an insult to whatever intelligence I have. Diversity of viewpoints and opinions is a healthy thing if allowed in an environment of respect, where insults, putdowns and denigration are not tolerated. However, I do understand that there are people who cannot handle differing viewpoints, cognitive dissonance being what it is. Good luck to you, also!
It happens John. Had a rather disgruntled lady follow me onto two other forums just to try to upset me. I played it cool and she got banned from both of them.
Well, Ken....you certainly made your feelings clear enough, so this confirms that I'm not welcome because I'm "the enemy". Nice. Thanks.
Drama (fade in the soap opera organ music) Edit: Ah, Thank you @Kay Baker for editing your post. The Pathetic Hypocrites was a rather strong declaration given that Hillary herself deemed those of us who are conservatives to be called deplorables. .
First, I imagine you recounting that story in a husky voice while saying "Shucks." My main point is...My ex used to give me grief for saying "take and" all the time. "Then you take and you leave the forum." (See what I on-topic did there?) It's superfluous. I thought I had picked it up somewhere during my early childhood. One parent was from England and the other from Pennsylvania--born of German parents--and I was raised in Indiana. But the Beach Boys are from California. So what gives? What's the origin? It's kind of a weird thing. Lastly, if the ladies have to take and keep their tops on (and they do), so do the gentlemen...that includes the "identifies ases."
Like everyone else here, I am allowed to have and express an opinion. Besides, my reference was to the Democrat Party, not to people who are registered as Democrats. I hate the Republican Party too, but some of my best friends are Democrats or Republicans. I don't generally advertise other forums here but you might be more comfortable in the Democrat Underground forum. I don't think they allow more than one opinion on anything. I deliberately specified "the Democrat Party" rather than "Democrats" because I knew that Democrats are more likely to be offended than Republicans. I used "Republicans" rather than "the Republican Party" because I didn't want the sentence to look stilted, and I knew that Republicans don't tend to be so easily offended, anyhow.
There are times I have felt a little slighted, but then I remember that (a) it's the friggin' internet, and (b) I might just be implying tonal inflections that were not intended. But to go all "Meet me behind the school during recess" on another adult is creepy.
We have no enemies here. Bill Boggs was a yellow dog Democrat. I'm a blue dog Republican. But we became good friends in spite his mistaken political views.
Even after passing, he’s still probably defending AOC. I can almost hear him now, “Just give her a chance” he says.
