"The one who didn't get away," was caught out the back of this boat on the St. Johns river. If you would, let us see some and hear of your boat and fish memories here. If you still have the boat it would be great, to see some photos and hear some of your stories, of that great fishing trip you made and how big a catch you had. " This is an older photo of my old Seabird cuddy cabin with twin 120s, inboards". Before I painted it and rebuilt both engines, I made it prettier than it ever was, but will have to go back further in my photos to get pictures.
One of the homes on the river. This is a photo of the river, that's less than a mile from the house, where I use the boat in my avatar in, as of now.
Don't think I have any photos of fish, and I no longer have a serviceable boat. If I go out on saltwater now, I charter someone to take me, but I haven't done that for several years. I owned a boat when I lived in the Alaska Bush, but I leave all that to younger folks now.
That's cool Don, don't blame you when it comes to, Alaskan waters. The shows I watched, on the discovery channel about fishing there were scary, to say the least. I always enjoyed them. I have a few fish pictures I will put up. Do you have any photos of the boat you had? I like the old fish stories, that the fish got bigger each time they told it.
Me too John. Do you have any photos? If not, it's fine. I love my 18ft Jon boat, it gets the job done.
Have you ever done deep sea fishing? I'm mainly a freshwater guy, although I prefer seafood to bass & pan fish. I really don't like getting out of sight of land. I've fished in the Sinepuxent Bay at Ocean City MD, and gotta say that when you drop your line in saltwater, the stuff you pull up is sometimes straight outta a sci fi flick.
You know, I used it a few times, the tarp got all damaged, and now the thing is not seaworthy. It came with a 9HP motor but I fish the local reservoir where outboards are prohibited, so I break out the Minn Kota.
Yes, I have deep sea fish and shrimped from 6 to teen and seen so horrific storms out there. It would be beautiful and all of sudden you be fighting for your life. Fresh water is calmer which I do now. Photo of my Jon boat.
He said our little grand baby Cindy was all over that boat at 3 yr old. But then she practically grew up on our 1964 Larson Cuddy cabin in Jax,Fl and Mrytle Beach S.C.
