Thank you all for your kind words they mean a lot to me. The night of the fire, my wife and daughter hustled the kids and our 3 dogs out of the house, thinking I was behind them, instead because the fire smells like something electrical burning I decided to go down into basement and and turn the master switch off for the power box. I didn't realize how dark the basement is without power, I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. Feeling around to get my direction I tripped over a box, and crawling around eventually I found the staircase and crawled to the kitchen. I got out of the house I met my wife on the lawn she had no idea that I was still in the house it could have been a dangerous situation. I never thought to take a flashlight or use my cell phone for light, I was only focused on getting out of the house. It was a stupid thing to do I know that now. I found out one of our three dogs was missing, friends and family that was there search the neighborhood, but didn't find her. One of the Firemen heard we were looking for a dog and said he saw her in the backyard. After the fireman and Equipment left around 1am I went into the backyard search and called for her. I think she was just too scared to come out of her hiding spot. The next morning I got up early went back, sat in the backyard calling her gently she eventually came out was super excited to see me, and I was excited that she was okay.
It has been almost a week since @Faye Fox was online, and I am getting concerned if she is maybe sick or something happened. She said the weather was being bad out there in Oregon where she is at. If someone can message her email, and make sure that she is okay, please do do and report back.
Thanks for email, Hedi. You are partly right, Mary. My "holidays" did send me somewhere else and it wasn't a Caribbean beach yoga retreat in my new modest workout two-piece USA-made outfit or the National final Rodeo top box seat wearing my vintage USA-made bareback riding jeans. It was a total of three eye doctors and a specialty lens-making place. I will post about it in another thread so as to keep this one on the right track. Basically, I banned myself due to my eyes not tracking and resulting in headaches plus increased some trigeminal nerve problems. I could see with an eye patched but it gave me headaches and my attitude, while very traditional pirate in nature, would have led to Ken making me walk the plank one final time. I hope Ken appreciates my self-banishment in the unfocusable and soundproof ship galley due to rough seas language that would make a pirate wench blush.
Really sorry to hear of your Medical issues, just want you to know I will be thinking of you and praying for you.
Unfortunately, my eyes can never be fixed due to nerve damage, but the prism progressive lens is making it possible for me to see with both eyes clearly and sharply. Thanks to all for the good wishes and concern.
