    It didn't help. The hotel doesn't have a coffee maker that will accept it. We're going to be here for six days so I think I'm going to buy a cheap drip coffeemaker that I'll leave behind when we go. I don't need one at home.

    Rather than buying a throw-away drip coffeemaker, I decided to buy a pour-over coffee maker because I've never used one of those and because it was small enough to fit into our luggage thing on the way back. I brought along a Turkish grinder that I had bought a month or so ago, and never used. Although I suppose it's adjustable, the default grind setting on a Turkish grinder is to grind the coffee beans into a fine powder. It takes a while to do that on a manual grinder, but the result was good. I was worried about coffee grounds in the coffee but, either the filter on the pour-over coffee maker is fine enough to keep it out or the powder is so fine that it's undetectable as grounds in the coffee. Using such a fine grind, it doesn't take a lot of coffee to make a good cup of coffee. It's not going to be my go-to coffeemaker or grinder because it takes too long, but it will be good for trips or even camping.

    That Turkish thing looks like a spice/pepper grinder. Glad you found a coffee solution!!

    Apparently, Turkish coffee is made from coffee grounds that are ground into a fine powder, so that was the default setting. There is an adjustment for it but, since it's not resulting in noticeable coffee grounds in the cup, I guess I'll leave it that way. The coffee will last longer.

    I have a brass peppermill that looks really similar to that grinder.

    They are very familiar, and maybe they could be used for that, as well. This is a coffee grinder, however.

    Have you tried Black Rifle "Just Black"? We have been considering trying it. We are in a rut with coffee too.:D We don't use coffee pods. Neither of us like French roast. We like columbian coffee. We use to drink Kenya AA or Kona for a long time but the coffee shops that sold the beans have all closed down several years ago. I haven't found any Kenya or Kona that could compare (yet)to what we use to drink. :( We drank Maxwell House for a while, meh. We liked McCafe Columbian and it was drinkable. Then they changed manufactures and the flavor changed to hot water,:rolleyes: and it was good bye McCafe. Lately we have been drinking Dunkin' and it's... ok.

    I have. I think I've tried all of the Black Rifle coffees by now. I have gotten Just Black a couple of times, but I don't remember it specifically, although I haven't tried any of the Black Rifle coffees that I didn't like - even their espresso coffee, although I use it to make regular coffee, not espresso.

    Since I've been using the Turkish coffee grinder, which grinds the coffee beans into a fine powder, I've found that I don't have to use very much coffee at all. If it didn't take so long to grind it with that grinder, I'd use it more often.

    Yes, we have tried the Just Black and also the Beyond Black. I like really strong, bold coffee so my preference is the Beyond Black. Of course taste is subjective so you'll just have to try it and see. :D

    Does anyone here drink "Chock Full o'Nuts" coffee? I just noticed it on Amazon; apparently it has been around for a while. I decided to order some and give it a try.

    I have had Chock Full o' Nuts before, but it has been a long while and I don't remember anything about it. If it were the best coffee I'd ever tasted, I'd probably still be drinking it but, on the other hand, if it were awful, I'd probably remember that, too.

    My Black Rifle coffee was finally delivered! We found it delightfully delicious full of coffee flavor. I think I am going to try the Beyond Black next.:)
