I had some black bananas, so I dug up an old recipe I saved for Banana Bar with Brown Butter Frosting. I've never made this before...it filled a 13" x 9" pan and rose like a fluffy cake rather than being flat and dense like a bar. It's very good, but so daggone HUGE!

Salt and vinegar chipsticks, I can eat them by the truck load, just fill up a bowl with them and nibble while watching TV in the evening (✷‿✷)

I changed an Italian creme cake recipe. Hubby likes me to make it a marble cake. Sometimes I put chopped nuts in it...It is so good it does not even need frosting. But just in case, I make a bucket of almond fudge icing. This is a quarter sheet cake that takes 10 eggs! I don't make it too often because no matter what size, it is gone in about three days. And I probably eat most of it.
I might take it to the family reunion although my usual contribution is no wheat, apple, raisin walnut muffins. I never even get to eat ONE of those. I bring 30 and I don't get one through the crowd.

When I was attending church (pre-COVID) we would do a monthly pot luck after services. I would make homemade coffee cakes and layered breakfast lasagnas and a bunch of high-quality labor-intensive stuff that got nibbled at but not devoured. At some point I came across a recipe for an apple filling rolled up in canned crescent rolls with a butter/cinnamon/Mountain Dew topping, and started taking those. (Of course, I have to doctor things by adding a shot of Amaretto to the filling and letting it set overnight.) There are never any leftovers. In a sense, it's disappointing.

Me too! I usually have a bit of cottage cheese with them to give me some protein and balance the sugars.

Santa brought me a box of Moose Munch so I'm having some with my coffee. It's the "best popcorn on the planet," or so it says on the package. Made in Oregon.

I like Harry & David stuff. I'd hit the one at Tysons Corner mall every once in a while when I had some $$$ burning a hole in my pocket.

But "Moose Munch" sounds like one of those things that might be served up Don's way...and you never ask what's in it.

I've been on a cream cheese binge lately. Cream cheese on Ritz crackers, and raisin bagels.

    Fruit cake !
It only comes around during this holiday season, and is usually way to expensive to buy except for a very small one. Saturday, we had to make a run too Walmart (no pickup or delivery because of the rolling blackouts here), and they had fruit cake on sale for half price, so we are now happily having fruit cake as a wonderful snack .
I love it along with my morning chicory/mushroom coffee !

My mom always bought fruit cake each Christmas, and we enjoyed the tradition each year when I was growing up. Two of my kids won’t touch it, but my other son loves fruitcake just like I do.
