It doesn't seem to be getting any warmer here, but we move onto British Summer Time this weekend, so we can look forward to long and light evenings. Rashly, we took a little walk around the harbour this morning. Brr. These eiders were unperturbed, though. I suppose when you spend most of your life in the North Sea, a little chill is nothing.
Good morning. Good weather again today. Got to try and get a garden bed tilled today. My wife bought a 'blanket' of lavender I think you're supposed to roll it out on top of the bed. maybe it needs to be covered, I guess it'll have directions?.
Good morning! Up a little too early, hopefully I won't fall asleep driving. Leaving around 8:00am. @Ruby Begonia , lovely breakfast....Pickles says "thank you" for including him but next time...no coffee, he's not allowed. @Ina I. Wonder , that's the way I feel too. I barely know the date anymore, let alone what the actual day is. I go by Things like if garbage cans are out, it's tuesday, as they come on Wednesday but everyone puts them out in Tuesday. Everyone have a great Saturday, I'll let you know when I'm there. Should be around 11:00am.
Good Morning one and all. Exciting weekend for us with the Gender Reveal Party last night...my daughter is going to have a baby boy come September. Today we're off to Our annual Family Reunion Crawfish Boil, and tomorrow we will have our Easter Sunday meal with ham and all the trimmings with our children and grandchildren. I hope all of you have a wonderful Easter Weekend with loved ones and friends....and wherever you are, whatever you do...my you be blessed in every way and have safe comings and goings.
Thanks, I will. They are driving back from Palm Springs today, a 6 hour drive for them. They are leaving at 6:00 am though, I might get there just a little before they do. Also since my daughter has to go food shopping this afternoon, the plan is wind stop for dinner. I am excited about that...love hot wings.
Greetings from Iowa's east bank. Sunny here so far, but rain coming. Saw my nurse yesterday. Hey, I got my wish. She was young and good looking. I'm learning to adapt to things since coming home. My feet are badly swelled making walking painful and difficult. I was going to get a wheel chair to use until the swelling went away, but the interior doors in my apartment are too narrow. However, my scooter goes right through and can get to anywhere I need to go, since I have a minimum of furniture. So, I spend more time TV watching than online these days. That'll change eventually. So, behave yourselves. If you can't behave, pray you get a lenient jury.
Good Morning, Y'all, Happy Easter Weekend! It's a beautiful sunshiny day here. Everyone but the birds is fed, and I'll get them once I'm finished with my Cheerios. Late night, so I'll be taking it easy at least this morning. I did more chores than I should have yesterday, which means more pain, but at least I have the pleasure of knowing the outside looks a bit better than it did. Have a lovely day, all!
Ooops I completely forgot about the 'Morning thread' today....so instead ...as it's 5.30pm here...a Good afternoon to you all, and I hope you have a safe journey @Chrissy Page Today is rotten weather, stormy and raining...but yesterday was gloriously sunny, so we went off to one of our favourite riverside pubs to have lunch. Everyone had the same idea obviously, probably because of the holiday, and also because the forecast for the rest of the weekend is dismal ...anyway we had a lovely day, and we walked along the Canal towpath and admired all the boats.... There's a lot of farmland there with sheep and cattle as well, I took a few photos as always...and we passed a little farm with some stables...and I couldn't resist taking this photo over the hedgerow , it was just sooo cute....
Lol, I just got yelled at, then he apologized for yelling at me. I was zoned out on the boring stretch of highway...speeding just a little. Didn't realize A cop was behind with his lights on. Noticed though when he put his siren on. Then all I could think about was how to get out of a speeding ticket, but when I rolled down my window he just started yelling at me to wake up. He's going to a scene of an accident and I should have pulled over, I would have if I knew he was behind me. anyway then he got back in his car and I just sat there waiting for him to pull out ahead of me but he didn't. Next thing I hear is him on his mic or megaphone telling me to get going. I pulled out so fast I didn't even see if there was a car in the next lane. YIKES!
