absolutely Gary!! At the VERY least, beware. Are we so stupid we refuse to even be careful?? Geez, I was taught this so long ago, and it isn't about "hating" your neighbor, it's about being aware of reality, and the nature of a beast.
Obama now threatens our national security. even his own advisers and the FBI are warning him of the consequences we may pay. never in my life have i seen irresponsibility on such a massive scale.
For the most part, I don't watch the debates or any of the related press coverage. I wondered what y'all think of the Michelle Fields accusation that she was manhandled and thrown to the ground? I've followed a lot of players in the alternative press for a while, but am not familiar with her. From what I'm seeing, it seems she has a history of making accusations at various people in higher places. I've only looked at a few things, but it seems at most, all Trump's person did was place his hand on her to restrain her from moving ahead/getting too close. I saw no evidence she was almost or actually pushed to the ground. Who knows, it seems everything these days is filmed from various angles, so I figured by now, I'd have seen a film of him being rough with her, but that hasn't been the case.
I agree with you Diane. She actually did touch Trump and that's not allowed. The security guy was doing his job by stepping in between them. He has a clean record. It's unclear in the video if he pulled her away from trump but he certainly didn't "man-handle" her nor did he make her go to the ground…not even close. She was standing fully upright the whole time. She's young and new to the media world and just wrote a book she's trying to sell…total attention seeker. Shameful. The man has a family and kids and good clean record.
At least they caught it all on tape. It is shameful and today it seems there is very, little shame in over the wrongs people do.
She has made similar accusations against people several times. From the video, the room was very crowded and it was hard to tell who may have done what, but he certainly didn't rough her up. The prosecutor is a Hillary donor, so I'm sure it will all just go away once they siphon it for all the political points they can get.
I used to argue politics on forums such as this, but found it futile. People who for their own reasons decide on a position and even though you can dynamically take apart all the things they count as positives, they persist in their support of the candidate. They take it as an attack upon them personally not just ideological. No one likes to lose a debate and as a result many feelings are hurt and friendships often end. For those reasons and because nothing is gained from the exercise, I no longer attempt debating politics. The old hack about politics and religion is a good one. BTW I love politics and follow it closely but what I learn only goes to how I fill out MY ballot.
I like learning about politics, I know enough about religion that it is not my cup-of-tea. But I especially enjoy talking about politics to the members here. I don't care if I convince anyone with my statements, I don't know enough to make a good call anyway. Those that do know what they are talking about are good at stating the facts as they see them. Any opinion seems welcome here as far as I see. I don't think a debate should be a mud-slinging contest full of personal attacks. I doubt those kinds of "statements" wouldn't be tolerated, again, imo. The best thing I ever learned to say to someone with another opinion, was "you might be right", or "I might be wrong". Discussing our world today is important, especially our country, for me anyway. I learn a lot from others that are "in the know". Anyone spouts some sort of egotistical "my way is the only way" is just fooling themselves, no one with half a brain is fooled. Another thing about that, I won't listen to folks that talk like that. I don't care if they are right or wrong, and that's a bit sad because if they "knew" how to deliver their "possible" knowledge, I might be able to learn something.
I do take offense when people make personal comments about my choices. They can attack the candidate all they want for all I care. But use sources that aren't pro liberal when attacking a conservative. Same goes in reverse, don't use pro conservative sites when attacking a liberal. There is bias.
I think it's horribly hard for me anyway, to find such opinions, but I know some have been mentioned here, more objective, and just stating the facts. Hell, nowadays it's hard to "find" the truth, but as my fave scifi guy, Fox Mulder always says "the truth is out there" LOL!! Seeya later gang, gotta do some errands, bb a lil later denise
Sadly it is hard to find an unbiased source anywhere but you do the best you can or actually hear what was said live before it's been edited.
That would be the best for sure @Chrissy Page. I don't have cable tv, or dish, so I'm sort of out of luck. It wouldn't be worth the cost of either, for me to have it. I'll just stick with the folks that I respect their opinions. Funny, but I didn't start out wanting Trump, but now, one thing is for sure. I do not want Hilly and Billy gettin another shot "at us".
I and everyone else uses 4 ways in which to express themselves: qualification, quantification, objectivity, and subjectivity. None of them are the same but still, all speech is made up in an arena which embodies at least one catagory. The problem with politics and theology is that one person may come in with an objective statement and another refutes it with a quantifying remark that has nothing to do with the original. Objectivity cannot be crossed into subjectivity without empirical evidence which is very, very rarely given much less available in an ideal form. I say, I like Trump because he's a straight talker. It's my opinion and I have offered nothing up to substantiate the remark but still someone will come up with a quantifying statement and say he only talks straight 70.7% of the time without giving any empirical proof of the percentile points subjectivity. At least here, in this forum, we are able to write without hammering away at each other. An opinion is an opinion and no one suddenly winds up with a bad reputation for merely speaking their piece provided it is offered in a peaceful manner. In other venues a person has to look at his or her stance and it's validity in order to survive even a mild debate much less some of the hot topics we generally enjoy here. At the end of the day, we hope all is forgiven and we can all agree on one thing. The present executive branch sucks and Jesus Saves.
