We don't use artificial fertilizers and try to stay chemical free. We make our own fertilizer. But with age it is a challenge. Our last purchase was a wagon to haul garden suplies and other things.
Yeah, I read that grocery store potatoes are fine for "seed", but that some are sprayed with a chemical to keep them from sprouting. The advice was to buy organic potatoes. It seems to me that the regular old spuds I buy have no problem sprouting in my pantry so I'm just going to go with them. I bought a little bag of Baby Golds in my grocery order.
This just in, from the "There's One Born Every Minute" department... You all know how susceptible I am to suggestion. Pitiful, really. Well, on another forum there was a discussion about how "cool" an electric sandwich maker is and how a person can whip up their own Egg McMuffin, blah, blah. (You see where this is going.) So I meandered over to Amazon to have a look-see. This Hamilton Beach model is regularly $29.99 but the silver color has been discontinued and is marked down to $13. "What a deal," says I. And another entry for the Kitchen Gadgets Now Living in the Garage is on it's way! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C95O3DY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Hey, it has over 37,000 ratings and 4.5 stars.
Gotta neat little gizmo that should attract anyone who has a mind to cut stuff. it slices, it dices, it chops, it….uh…it’s a dern limb saw but I like it. It only weighs a couple of pounds with the battery and after I took it out for a test drive, it works. BUT…..1. There’s no oil port so you have to spray some on the chain every so often. 2. Like all chain saws, it can jump at the start of a cut so ya gotta know where your “holding” hand is and make sure it’s completely away from where you’re going to cut. All that said….I REALLY like it and the price is perfect especially since it comes with 2 batteries and a couple extra chains.
This should go to the Rant section. I ha e been rechecking some Amazon purchases, and kept wondering why I seem to pay more. It is shipping. The sleep mask was 8.99, but then 5.99 shipping, then the tax. Geez. When I place an order of more than one item and it shows shipping charges it should be for the whole order not a separate line item for each? The rug is higher than the one I thought I was actually ordering. Maybe I am losing me marbles. . Moneyed to death
I order quite a bit from Amazon so it was worth getting Prime. I think I give ‘em about $10 a month but I’m sure the shipping would be 5 or 6 times that amount if I wasn’t on Prime.
It is a little trick they play. You have to read the entire order to the bottom and click free shipment (I don't have prime and don't click prime) sometimes more than once. That is in case you prefer to pay shipping, Right? You have to buy $25 worth of items and have them shipped by amazon, not private sellers to get free shipping. If you don't click appropriately--pay shipping. I may be switching to walmart.
You also need to make sure you're buying from Amazon and not one of the "marketplace" sellers. Many of them charge shipping so just check your cart while checking out. Many times I dump items when I see shipping charges.
how do i do that? I can accept shipping charges on entire order but not each item. How do i tell Amazon order from merchant ? So I should not have to pay shipping? I just dont want Prime and be charged for that also.
I'm not sure how your page displays because I have Prime, so most things I search for show me Prime options first. Anyhow, when you're looking at a product page, on the right hand side you should see something like this... You can see that it is shipping from Amazon, but sold by "Bropite Direct." If you add it to your cart you should then see shipping charges if it's not free.
