How long have you lived in Houston Texas Bonnie, and what other places have you lived in before, also if given the choice where would you ideally choose to live now?
Oh my ... Thanks Terry. I've lived in Houston over half of my long life now... previous to living in SE Texas, I lived in Phoenix, AZ. and loved every minute of the desert life/six years. I was born in Ohio, lived the farm life mostly until junior high school, then moved to town. Moved around the area some in that time... eventually, married and left the state. After living in a very populated place like Houston all these years, and I know the saying "you can never go back" .. I would go forward and dream BIG .... to an island paradise for my final days.... say Tahiti or BoraBora I could handle that:
I had my doubts at times about my mothering skills, since I never had a good role model to look up to. But my kids all tell me I was a wonderful mother ... so I'll go with that! I worked/got in some college courses after they started school.... but was always there when they needed me.
Honestly, I'm not much of a movie person at all. Have seen many I suppose, but it takes a lot to get me interested ... I'm odd that way. but I've got to admit, I've watched Sleepless in Seattle like a hundred times. .. go figure
Maybe the 90's .... everything was going good, didn't have any aches and pains to complain about, became a grandma for the first time.
Probably, 4-5 years old, playing on my grandparents farm. I lived with them growing up, along with an aunt & uncle not too much older than myself. I played with all the farm animals everyday, including the pigs. . I would go into their pen and try to hug them. My imagination was very active .. .... things like Gramps smokehouse was the Three Bears House ... the white round ceramic discs on the fences were bird telephones, etc.. I really believed all this stuff ... heartbroken when I came out of my make-believe world.
Hi Bonnie 1. What would you consider your most positive quality.? 2. What's the hardest thing you ever had to do?
I would have liked that world, Bonnie, sounds neat. Don't you wish we could still be so innocent and play make believe? I enjoyed that answer, thanks. What career would you choose now if you could start over?
Hi Karen .. Probably my most positive quality is Common Sense ... staying on the straight & narrow.. Hardest thing .... kissing my husband good-by when he died three yrs. ago.
