Usual clean and piddle round stuff. Went and got my new glasses, went to store for a bit. Went to liquor store for Gentlemen Jack ,,lasts for months. Then cleaned up and out my spice turntables. Re arranging a few kitchen items. I hope when we move we get better cabinet arrangement. Rest for a bit in recliner and pound on the lap top. HOT HOT and DRY. Scared to ask for rain- others are drowning.
We just had a massive deluge move through, too. I have no idea how much rain it dumped. I think it was A-Lawt.
I just watered the yard and flowers so it'll probably rain here, too. A few weeks ago, I was watering the lawn when it started to rain on me. At first, I thought, that's okay, the rain feels good, and I don't mind getting wet, then I realized how stupid it was to finish watering the lawn in the rain.
We have three rain gauges in the yard so we can keep tabs on things. You never know when that back right corner might get more rain than up by the house.
Today I will spend the afternoon with my best friend and enjoy a good home cooked meal and assist with any small things that need to be done as they are handicapped and do not walk, my normal Sunday. A comment over 10 years ago about some dirty boots in a truck stop getting diesel created all this, so glad i did so.
Making bread, doing laundry, reading. A very nice day so far. The hubby is over at his mom's and will pick up Popeye's chicken for dinner on his way home. I need to call my sister and see how she's doing.
Had a checkup with the oncologist this morning. Traffic wasn't too bad since it was a late-morning appointment and the appointment went well. I don't have any complaints to speak of so I only saw the PA. She asked if I wanted to see the doctor but I didn't see the point. While sitting in the waiting area, a woman sat down across from me and I recognized her from the BC forum. She had posted pictures of some tatoos on top of her feet a while ago and I noticed those tatoos right away! She was on her phone so I didn't comment, but I thought that was weird to recognize someone from an internet forum in the doctor's waiting room. Tomorrow I see the surgeon for a checkup and to discuss additional bypass surgery for the lymph channels in my arm. So another trip to the medical center, and this time it will be during rush hour since my appointment is for 8 a.m. Ugh.
Not doing allot ,enjoy the warmer weather here in QLD ..take the dog for a walk ,then maybe walk to the nearby shop that’s about a 3.5 km return walk to get a packet of breakfast cereal or maybe a packet of rolled oats
Got a fraud alert on my credit card. Someone purchasing something in Yemen and I haven't been there... ever. Only it was the credit card that was compromised about a year ago and that account was closed and a new card number issued. I guess that old card is still circulating on the "dark web." Good luck, scammer scum. And burn in hell while you're at it.
Can’t answer what kind of day Will I have since the day is about over so I’ll have to wait to tell ya’ll what I won’t know tomorrow.
2nd cup of coffee and I still don’t know what kind of day I’m going to have. To wax philosophically, it think it would be better if it started all screwed up in order to absorb the impact of someone at some time today screwing it up for me. Alas, a friend called last night and wants me to look at his lawnmower this morning and sometime later I’m supposed to go to the gym and train. But for now, I think I’ll need another cup of coffee and if that goes well then maybe I’ll have yet another cup of coffee before I think I know what kind of day it will be. I think I’m agonna buy one of those future telling 8 ball things. I can’t remember but I wonder if there’s a “go back to bed” option on one of those contraptions.
