Oh good heavens yes. In public restrooms I do karate moves to keep from touching any doorknob or surface with my bare hands.

Same here. And not just public restrooms. Anywhere there is a lot of people, like parties and such. I've learned how to turn a door knob with my elbow!

At home, never. I have my own bathroom. No need to. Other places, like restaurants, stores, yes and no. Sometimes I forget.

I rarely do at home after taking a #1.
I always do after taking a #2, wherever I may be.
I always do in public restrooms, regardless of my reason for being there, but I don't protect my hands when opening the door.

My immune system does not need to be coddled, but you take reasonable precautions against septic infections.

(This is why I don't use my real name here.)

So that would be a "No."

And I'll let you cook for me any time. You can even toss the salad with your hands.

I do but not out of necessity. It just puts the mind at ease.

Like John , after 1# most of the time. #2 always no matter where. And even before COVID wash hands soap and water first thing coming back from grocery shopping. Still do , and since that COVID thing, try to use hand sanitizer before going in the store. All just as as precaution.

I either wash with hot water and soap or use straight Everclear after using the toilet, cleaning my nose, or after coming home from any shopping. Also if I have visitors or bring in my mail. Soap and water don't always stop viruses, so I make sure that I sanitize with alcohol several times a day and always before touching my eyes or face, taking meds or vitamins, eating using my hands to hold food, brushing my implants and gums, and also always before bed.

Also I change hand towels twice a week or after having visitors.

I always wash my hands after peeing or pooping. I use paper towels or my elbow to open public restroom doors.

At home it's usually a hand rinse, I don't worry about this issue in my body. When I've been to public restrooms, yes, with some mild soap and hot water.

I believe we are OK with a small dosing of germies, if you want to call them that, but many are just tooooo worried about germs.....

Elbows or paper towels to open doors, omg....Never did that one. I keep my hands away from my
    face.....
