When I used the Drive Thru the other day, the first thing I heard over the speaker was an automated voice asking if I had ordered using the App[lication.] I've used the kiosk, but it seems that with post-COVID labor shortages, they place priority on keeping the cars moving through. The wait time inside to get food is forever. Regarding those little burgers...when I order a hamburger, the person behind the counter always asks "Quarter Pounder?," to which I reply "No, one of those small ones you can slide under a door." It usually gets a smile...'cause it's true.
Not at the McD's I've gone to this week. Inside is much faster. One little "slider" is about right for me now. Can't afford the calories in the quarter pounder with French fries and a milk shake, like I used to.
Once in awhile I get a craving for a "regular" hamburger, but it's been a long time. I'm still amazed at how good their coffee is, and their hot chocolate. The sausage McMuffin with egg is about all I eat there now.
