uh…I saw the one with the Yorkie that got away. We had a Pomeranian that Yvonne and I are both pretty sure that a big hawk grabbed and took off with it.
Temps around 20 F. and snowing like crazy. Several big storms are lining up across the Bering Sea. We'll see what happens. We got about 6 inches overnight, but north of us got 10 inches of new snow yesterday. The wind has died a bit, so there is less drifting. We don't get much wind down here in the woods usually, but my youngest son got drifted in at his home. Fortunately he is off work I think so he can blow the snow out of his driveway.
Tornadoes near us Sunday but today is warm and sunny. It's so odd. When the tornadoes were hitting Sunday, we had only a little breeze and light rain.
I managed to get new lights rigged on my tractor so I can blow snow at night...since the days are only 5 hours long now. The previous lights were on the outside of the ROPS bar and...well trees fall and stuff and took out the lights. The new ones are inside the ROPS, so they should be protected. I made a quick pass up and down the drive tonight as we had 8 to 10 inches and wife's car was struggling a bit to get through it. She has to go in to Wasilla somewhere tomorrow morning to pick up a quilt she is having quilted, so she can now get out easily if I don't get up so early.
Cold, cloudy and wet .. we were suppose to go to dentist 30 miles away today..but the dentist is sick,,so next Wed. hope it will not snow
The snow has stopped for the time being, and the temp had dropped to +5 F. I have to finish clearing the driveway in preparation for the next snow.
It is 41 here, but feels colder to me. Supposed to make 60 later today, and appears to be the warmest day we are getting for the next couple of weeks. I am going to try and be brave enough to get into the swimming pool for an hour today even ! We have not been to the fitness center for the last couple of weeks, so we are going to get brave and go there today; but I am definitely spending time before and after the swim in the hot tub.
El Nino is here in the Midwest. A high of 50 today! I remember at least two Christmas days when we hit 70! Works for me!
