Friendly? Of course I'm very friendly.................as I sit here with cattle-prods in both my holsters!
Ok, another old thread that I started and want to revive. This is for any new members or members that aren't as friendly as they were when I done this thread in June 2019. As for me, I'm just as friendly as I was when I started this thread, however, my wife isn't. It can really depend on her mood if she talks to a stranger. Funny, but I keep telling her "you think people aren't that friendly, then again, look at yourself" and she will tell me "you are the talker, not so much me". If I didn't call her brother, we'd never talk to him. Same goes for her older sister, but if the older sister texts her, she will text her back. No matter what apartment complex we live in, if we have a problem with a neighbor, it is left up to me to talk to the office about it.
Thanks, Ken. Actually, I was just waiting for a member to reply: "I not friendly and don't plan on being. This forum is lucky I'm even part of it." But, seriously, I doubt that would be said on your forum.
Cody Fousnaugh, Well, I am as friendly as the other person deserves. I am a little too tired of offering my friendship and getting back an ugly mirk.
Have had that done to me before, Silvia, but I then simply ignore the person I was trying to be friendly with. Guess there are those people that simply refuse to be that friendly or friendly at all. It's like they think "Hum Bug" all of the time.
I'm new here and have not posted to this thread. So, I am here to say I am a friendly type. I suppose that is due to the fact I owned and operated 3 small businesses, and was always engaged in talk on one level or another with others, employees to inspectors, to customers, to accountants, etc etc etc. I have learned the art of small talk and usually take the initiative when I meet someone that I feel may be a possible friend or just an interesting person to chat with. As a kid I was shy, but working with the public quickly reversed that. I do not consider myself "sociable" though...I feel that has a different meaning. I can take it or leave the "sociable" aspect. I'll stick with being just plain old "friendly".
Unfortunately, still don't find people that will talk to us first. We seem to always have to initiate/start a conversation.
