I have one of those chef guys, a small statue next to my stove. He's a tall, skinny one, with checkered pants. Love them!
Gotta keep up with the times .... ...(kidding!) ... ones for different seasons can be fun to accent with ...
Congratulations Ruby on your new appliances which when new it's great!!! Convection ovens are faster to cook with, so timing is essential for your foods to be prepared much quicker. Here are some tips I found about convection oven cooking: * http://www.finecooking.com/articles/convection-ovens.aspx?pg=0 * http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/articles/detail/convection-cooking-adjustments This is more direct in finding times and temps for what you cook or bake. Good luck. I like to get those new air fry kind of cooking. My Mom says no to it though. We love fried foods, which is not so good unless you get an air cooking equipment. Good luck with your new convection oven!
@Krissttina Isobe , thanks for those links. They are exactly what I need, especially the second one, Gourmet Sleuth! I like that site for recipes, too. Thank you again!!!!
I know absolutely nothing about convection ovens, how they work, if you have to cook any different in them or not, etc. So maybe if you have time @Ruby Begonia you could tell me how they differ from regular ovens...and once you've tried yours out for awhile...whether you like it better than the old oven ways. And congrats on your new appliances,
I've never had a convection oven Ruby so let us know how you like it. I just read a little bit about them and it sounds really handy. Your kitchen is going to look really nice and it'll be fun to cook in I'm sure.
Thanks, I couldn't explain any better than these links Krissttina provided, * http://www.finecooking.com/articles/convection-ovens.aspx?pg=0 * http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/articles/detail/convection-cooking-adjustments
