Doing a little 60s jive, I used to dance the 'Jerk' back then too. Those ladies are in their late 70s early 80s today.
There is an adaptation of The Flight of the Bumble Bee by Jack Fina, called Bumble Boogie. I used to be able to play this arrangement, but at about 75% of his speed. It was fun.
I miss hearing the piano in the house. When Mama was passing, she loved hearing " Leaving On My Mind, Jimmy Swaggart, She kept asking me to play it, she liked the lyrics and his piano playing, Not because she liked the man so much, but she appreciated his talents.
ROFLOL! I really miss his "tearful" apology to his wife. "I - I - I have sinned against you, my love...."
This was in 1987, but my mother wasn't a religious type, so she didn't know about him nor did I at the time. I bought the cassette just for her, since she liked music and was a great pianist herself, so she could appreciate the chords and she loved the song. She related to this song since she was dying. She believed in God, but not much into organized religion.
