Our grocery haul is 55 miles away. We have been using a simple rather large bag that is insulated to put all frozen and cooled items in. Have had no problems keeping things cooled and frozen even in summer. Much cheaper for us also.
We just ordered a large porcelain teapot from Amazon, so that we can get around the endless boiling-of-the-water for tea all day. Has a large mesh infuser to hold tea or tea bags. Will be here tomorrow. Can't wait!
I just received an answer to my inquiry about the ink for my printer. It's on backorder. Luckily I have a set of cartridges from my last order.
Pics? (Even linking the one on Amazon would work.) I've been using an electric kettle that @Yvonne Smith recommended, along with a mug/infuser set also recommended by Yvonne. I buy my tea online from English Tea Store. It's the only place I can find genuine loose leaf tea rather than the CTC...even going to an Indian market. It ain't cheap but it's real tea.
Here's the link from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B091THMP9T?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I'll check out the English Tea Store as well — thanks! https://www.englishteastore.com/
Wellllll, I just went crazy ordering on line this week. I had thought I had sourced some beans and barley to make my own chicken feed. There seems to be a birth control chemical in the store bought stuff. Haven't had many eggs for a YEAR Switched over to a bean based recipe recommended on youtube and it worked! Lots of eggs again. Anyway, the beans came but the barley didn't. I could not find it reasonably anywhere. If they had it, the shipping or pick up was prohibitive. So I got 40lbs on amazon and some not hulled in case I decide to grow it myself. I worry about what is happening to food. Hay that has grazon sprayed on the fields goes through the animals with the herbicide in tact so it kills your garden soil. I also got a red light therapy belt to try on TEMU. Same as on Amazon but without the middle man. And some decoy eggs to entice chickens to lay where I want them to, not in the stupid or annoying places THEY want to.
I bought another probiotic from Amazon. This is gonna be the last one for a while. It's the second single-species one I'm trying.
As we drink organic green tea with peppermint (and would prefer not to use teabags), I just ordered organic looseleaf teas which were promised to be stronger than the teabag variety: - organic green tea - organic peppermint (a lot less than the green tea above) We'll see how it goes when it arrives tomorrow.
Somewhere around here we have a tea forum (not an admonishment, just an observation.) I really got into green teas some years ago. I must have had at least 15 different varieties...as you said, always loose tea, never the bags. There are all sorts of interesting forms of Asian teas...needles (Dragonwell), BBs (Gun Powder), nests (Pu'erh), etc. It's funny, I take my coffee with a little sugar only, my black [British] tea with cream and sugar, and all varieties of my green teas with nothing. Here is the tea thread. It's 4 pages long. Here is the coffee thread. It's 76 pages long. Perhaps that's indicative of their relative caffeine content
Just placed an Amazon order. I got stuff to remove splinters (daggone firewood), a hands-free lighted magnifying glass, a fermentation kit, and some extra lids & weights.
A lightweight pair of shorts for using when we travel , I’d bought a pair the same near home and use them for putting on after a shower ( we’ve been staying overnight at caravan parks on long trips ) I not only found the shorts far easier to put on after a shower than long pants but I also used them for sleep shorts nice and light and comfy and nice descent length leg ( not short ..shorts) They are usually $30.00 + a pair but I ordered them online for $20.00
For a brief change, I just got a couple of something’s from Amazon that doesn’t cut, doesn’t have shiny knobs or make loud noises. I was looking to find a log book for daily activities and uh…I ran across something else and forgot about the logbook and bought this instead. Maybe I’ll teach myself how to write as well as I did 50 years ago and start that book I’ve been promising to write for the last 60 years. The “paper” feels like a hard cloth or even like thin and pliable cardboard(ish?). It does have a kind of musty smell to the whole thing which sort of lends itself to being an aged book. Bottom line….I love it !!
Of course, one cannot properly write in a quality book such as the one pictured above with an ordinary pen so………… Note: I came close to buying a quill and ink set just to be a tad more motivated but thought better of it.
