I have a strange problem with subtitles BUT ONLY when watching a movie on my DVD player. I CAN turn off subtitles when watching a TV program BUT NOT when watching a DVD movie. So, when watching a DVD movie, I see BOTH subtitles , The one coming from the DVD player AND the one coming from the TV. Yes, I can turn off the subtitles coming from the DVD player and then I see only the subtitles coming from the TV. BUT the TV subtitles are much smaller. I contacted the TV mfg and they said to turn off the TV, unplug it and hold in the "On Off button for 30 seconds to re-set TV to the original factory setting. THAT does NOT work. Very strange. Ant advice is appreciated.
I would think before anyone can offer advice, they'd want the Mfr/Model# of the TV and the DVD player. If you have a universal remote, we'd need the same info for that. Perhaps someone here owns one of them.
I wondered if he had a Universal remote because you gotta be sure to change between TV and DVD before you hit the buttons.
That's why the lead character in Wizard of Oz was female. Munchkins: Follow the yellow brick road. Guy: I know a shortcut.
I just want to know, when some assembly is required, why do I end up with all the extra little pieces.
Interesting. Let me think. If you go to the menu on the DVD remote to find settings and look for CC (Closed Caption) and turn it off. For the TV pretty much the same thing but under Settings.
