They say some big stuff is coming in from Iowa. Thunder, lighting, hail and maybe tornadoes--oh my! My daughter was going to go camping and took off from work this week. I told her to put up the tent in her basement. Mother knows best.
Raining here too, but not hard and no tornadoes. It keeps the fire danger down here, but some summers it never stops until it turns to snow.
I just looked at the radar for Wisconsin, and that does look like it could be severe storms, @Mary Stetler . Do you have a safe place if there are tornadoes ?
We have a good basement. I had bought a solar emergency radio, years ago, that didn't work. I swore at it but left it all this time in our south window. It worked fine last nite. Good to know. The thunderstorms came and left a lot of rain but the really bad stuff took a left and went north or us. Sirens were going off but no tornadoes happened. This morning I hear chain saws. Haven't been to the farm yet but no texts from daughter this morning.
That is good news ! The first thing I saw when I opened my ipad as about a tornado destroying a town, and I was worried about you, but when I looked, it happened in Iowa, and not Wisconsin . The tornadoes that come through Alabama seem to veer either north or south of us here in Huntsville, too, thankfully.
