We are sorta in our way home now ……Not leaving here till Friday next week ,so we have 6 nights before packing and heading home to South Australia ….some 2.200 km away We are in the heart of Coolangatta which is right on the border of New South Wales and Queensland This photo is the front of the resort building where we are staying …….Part of this huge building in actually in NSW ….the other in Queensland , with the border marked with different colour pavers out the front of the building ..also behind the building where we have our car parked in the secure carpark .
So the water you're looking at is the Coral Sea? You all sure take some long road trips. The furthest I've driven is about 1,000 km (Washington DC to Atlanta GA.) That was 30 years ago.
Coolangatta is the southernmost suburb of Gold Coast City, Queensland, Australia. On the coast of the Pacific Ocean The coral sea is in northern areas of Queensland …like Cairns , been there many years ago when DH rode his bike from Adelaide to cairns and back ……Where we are at the moment ….is approx half way to Cairns ….from home …. @John Brunner
It was 1997 I was there , my DH rode his BMW bike there and back as he was in the Ulysses motor cycle club ( NOT ..bad boys club I’m sure they are in areas overseas as well it’s for anyone over 40 who enjoys riding MB ) half way through his trips I’d fly up and meet him and spend a week with him and fly home ( he’d be away 6 weeks ) he’d carry a bed roll and basic foods on his bike …I’ll find a photo latter Anyway I didn’t like cairns at all , altho https://www.kuranda.org/ was good I like the tropical rain forests and the train trip , but they can keep the sky rail ….. @Don Alaska
