When I was a kid, I used to love playing Jeopardy because I had all sorts of 'worthless' information stored in my head. Love the stuff! especially as it relates to biology. Today I don't care so much for it or scrabble as my info does not extend so much to computers and the geographical info changes daily.

My wife doesn't say the "f" bomb at all. I think I've said it perhaps 5 times in the 24 years we've been together. My wife's family doesn't use it or words like it. Unfortunately, it has become a very popular word, mainly used by certain people, as well as certain young people. I've had co-workers get fired, or get a very heavy warning, by management, for using it at work. I think society would be much better off if it wasn't used at all.
Here's a tidbit I just learned today. Lauren Boebert's (R-CO) level of education is a GED. Somehow this does not surprise me.

So, today I was working in the garden weeding. The ground is a little dry for my liking so I was smacking the roots against the three fingered rake pretty aggressively to get the dirt off. The tool flipped, finger sides pointed up and I slammed into one with my hand. Bleeding quite well, I decided best to get a tetnus shot as I had not had one in a loooonnnng time. I went home and cleaned up and was going to call in to my doctor but the clinic was closed. I have a lot to do tomorrow. What to do? We have an urgent care in town that is open till 7:30! I drove into town and found it quite empty so I got right in. No longer bleeding and just a puncture so I didn't need stitches. But I had to see Dr Scott. He came in and chastised me for not seeing my regular doctor for more than 5 years. He said I might not have a doctor any more. ???? If you stay away for that long they think you have moved and may take you off their rolls. I should have all of my regular tests done. I would have gone to my clinic again but it was closed tonight. So I am seeing Dr Scott! I said I was thinking of getting a tetnus shot last week already because I work in manure and metal tools and it was about time. Dr Scott said that medicare would not have covered it last week. ???? This visit was caused by an injury which they cover but they won't cover it as an elective. My tidbit of information of the day.
