    Good morning to all-

    Ms. Gallagher-
You are completely correct here, and I agree with you totally.
I can not respect any "adult" who resorts to name-calling and labelling others- even if they disagree with the other person.
Even with all others of his unacceptable behaviors and attitudes, the former occupant's name-calling and labelling of others is perhaps the most offensive and toxic of his many bad habits.

And I assure you, if any Democrat candidates start such puerile actions, I will call then out also- it is not acceptable adult behavior for anyone.

The former occupant by his own name-calling actions has given the stamp of approval to all others to do the same thing, and this creates a great deal of antagonism and anger among many folks.

The world be a much better place if the former occupant could try to be an adult- but that might be a bit too much to ask of him.

you all be safe and keep well- Ed

I don't understand people who would consider Trump's mean tweets more important than his good policies. Is a mean tweet really worse than open borders? Was it really worth not having a wall that would have kept the country from being flooded with criminals? Are people really happy with the high inflation that Biden brought over the low rate that Trump had accomplished? What about Biden's wars, with the billions upon billions that went to Ukraine? How about the Chinese spying? Does anyone think Trump wouldn't have shot that balloon down immediately? Wasn't it great that we had a senile old man who has made America a laughing stock of the world but didn't make mean tweets? Then there's the debt. These are just rhetorical questions. There are no logical answers. There is so much more heartache that Biden has caused Americans and a few extremely mean speeches but no mean tweets, so there's that.

Congratulations Denise for being willing to get involved. It's going to be an uphill battle in a blue state. I know, I live in one too. But it's good to be with a group of like minded people who are actually trying to accomplish something and I hope you enjoy it and can get voter ID in Oregon.

I always voted in all elections but I didn't work in politics until the 2020 election. Before that I was raising kids. What I didn't realize was that I should have been volunteering anyway and taking them with me as soon as they were old enough to stuff envelopes.

I so agree with what you've said here Vada. I love how President Trump speaks of a "return to common sense". It's common sense to put the Trump record above piddly little complaints about his "personality". Like we could have a sweet little ole grandma that just is so squeeky clean in her speeches, but her record sucks. Oh yea, that make more sense, geeawwwwd!

Yes, I know it is an uphill battle, and I'm sure I'll shed a lot of tears along the way, but I'll be around people, in person, that I can discuss things with and I feel that will be so much healthier. I understand this is an open forum, but unfortunately, I am just not able to come here much because it literally turns my stomach at the way some think. I'm also sure it wouldn't happen if they had to meet other face to face.

Having said that, I so enjoy reading from my fave folks on here. You'll know who you are, if you care to know, by me liking your posts. I'm sure many could give a hoot what I think, so our feelings for each other are mutual, I'm sure ;)

Sometimes I have to be reminded of what SCOTUS has done. I get so happy when I see them stand up for what is right, specifically, the conservatives Donald Trump put in.

I don't really know our laws and constitution so I depend on "some" of you here and I believe you Don when you say "they refused their Constitutional obligation by resfusing :( I know the Right is not always right though, after all, we are still all humans :(

    Good afternoon to all-

    Mr. Nopales-
Let me provide Merriam- Websters definition of " fool"- A person lacking in judgement or prudence.
I do believe that is a very precise and accurate description of anyone who would accept the lies and distortions provided by the former occupant. If a person believes the lies provided by the former occupant in his every public speech, then surely that person is demonstrating foolish thinking.

Calling a person a "fool" is not calling that person a name or inaccurate label if the person fits that definition.

I do not call anyone the silly, childish, small-minded names and labels used by the former occupant on a regular basis. But then of course, he is working with a very limited vocabulary and intellect.

I do not pretend to have any virtues or action that I do not practice. I don't call people names, and I don't lie.

You all be safe and keep well- Ed

Vada--I agree that Trump's policies were good for the country. My post regarding behavior had nothing to do with policy and no one has been more disappointed over Biden's policies than I. I'd just prefer to see the leader(s) of the free world behave like grownups, and not just Trump. Sadly, most of the childish behavior did start with his election in 2016. I hate that "polite society" has become something from the past.

I am almost to the point of throwing up my hands and ignoring politics totally. I just get too agitated about things that are totally out of my control. I don't believe any politician is honest... none of them. It's disheartening that political choices seem to be the lesser of two evils.

Meanwhile, Hillary wanted to be president and she refers to half the nation as "A basket of deplorables." Trump makes his mean statements about opposing politicians, while Democrats want to put half the nation into "reeducation camps."

What's good for the country is what I care about when I vote. I vote on policy, policy first, last and always. I also vote on record. How has a candidate voted? What is his background? Has he accomplished anything in his life? Those things mean more than words to me. I never vote on personality, looks, mean comments or anything like that.

I have known who Joe Biden is for 40 years and would never have cast a vote for him for him to scrub toilets.

In nearly every presidential election of my life I have voted for the lesser of evils. I won't stand by and know that I just bowed to the greater of evils because perfect wasn't on the ballot. Trump was the lesser of evils for me in 2016 when Hillary was the greater. Now in 2024 he's proven himself and is the best candidate to get the job done, IMO. Is he perfect? No, no one is. But, I am betting that he won't sell state secrets to China and that he will close the border.

No, I don't believe Trump started childish behavior. The insults and snide remarks have been going on for years but the GOP didn't have guts enough to give as good as the Democrats were giving to them. Most of them still don't. Most will just bend over and say kick me again, please. Trump doesn't do that and it's one of the reasons that people vote FOR him and why Democrats hate him.

I still think if Trump does not get elected, the country, and maybe the world as we know it, is done. Invasion has been coordinated all over the world. A few countries are now fighting it but many would see us as a leader with Trump. Things are so screwed up, though, that he cannot fix everything. Voters may be disappointed to find that we have to do our part, as well, to clean up the mean streets.
We need to also vote out all career politicians (except for the Freedom Coillition)
My sister and I were reflecting back on when people cleaned up and dressed to go to church, to fly on an airplane to go out anywhere. Heck, we didn't even wear pajamas to Walmart! We need to take pride back in ourselves and our country. To be kind. To fight corruption and start to pray again. God will listen--he is listening whether you believe or not.
Maybe they won't but WE can.
And if they start pushing drivel, walk away. They can't push a string.

I see that Poland has now given their border guards permission to shoot immigrants should they storm the border in numbers. Nice that soem countries control their borders. huh? I know Finland and Ukraine have rigidly-controlled borders financed by the U.S.
