According to WebMD, orange juice lowers blood pressure in people with high blood pressure. That does not mean that it will cause a problem for those who have low blood pressure, and I doubt that it would, as I think orange juice is good for pretty much anyone.
A very good Monday Morning everyone ..I ve only seen a few quick snippets on severe storms where some of our internet / forum friends live ....Hope everyone is safe ..I have noticed it's been very quiet here, we get more information/ news about the never ending election/ promises / in the USA than about people's suffering Big hugs ...to all who have been effected by floods / storms ..
Good morning everyone, it's Monday morning, where I am! Sunny and warm is all we have to deal with, Hope you all have a grand day!
It is a beautiful morning here in Alabama , too. Today is a fitnesss day, so after some coffee and a bit of breakfast, we are headed off to the fetnes center to swim and exercise. I have been working in the yard over the weekend, and got a lot of the weedeating done, except for the part that is steep. Since I don't have very good balance, Bobby gets to do the weedeating where the ground is too uneven for me to walk safely. I love walking around the yard and seeing how much everything is growing , and what new plant are coming up. Supposed to be in the 80's this week, so perfect weather for being outside.
Mornin'. Gotta see my doc Thursday. Will these d**n appointments ever end? Ever since all this pacemaker thing started, I've been having a heck of a time sleeping. Wonder if that's a common thing? Not much going on here. I don't go online much anymore. Been watching TV lots more. If I don't post for several days at a time, it's because of low or no energy. Wonder if there's a pill for that?
@Ina I. Wonder I shared about the orange juice and sugar because a long time ago I almost passed out and my blood pressure and blood sugar had dropped really low. A Nurse friend fixed me a me a cup of orange juice with that sugar in it...and in a very short while I felt much better. My Nurse friend told me I needed to go get tested for low blood sugar....which I did and was found to have. I don't know what all your health problems are...and I hope that I did not share something that maybe would have not helped you. You asked and I shared what worked in my case. @Ken Anderson thanks for your update here.
@Ike Willis I'm sorry to hear you that you are not feeling up to par Ike. Please make sure you tell your Doctor on Thursday about your problems sleeping and your lack of energy so your Doctor can help you with these problems. We're all glad to see you here whenever you feel up to it. And you will be in our thoughts and prayers for better rest and increased energy Ike.
Good Morning Everyone. You know how sometimes things don't go as planned. Well that pretty much was what happened with a big part of this past weekend for me. And this morning I would sure be thankful for thoughts and prayers send my way if anyone has a few minutes they can spare in this. It's a new day and I'm thankful for this but the after "shocks" of this weekend have my spirit feeling really discouraged this morning and my heart full of sadness. Sometimes it hurts just to be a human being.
Good Monday Morning to one and all! It is beautiful here and will be about 80 degrees here in Central Virginia. My main tasks today other than working. are to check with the garage who is going to do a car repair for me that is necessary to pass inspection. They need to order struts, and I want to know how they want to handle it. Sadly, the receptionist is out this month..so I have had trouble getting someone on the phone. I may have to go down there. Also, I have to finish cutting my grass. I will also plant some flowers.
Good Morning to everyone. I'm so sorry to hear that you aren't doing well @Ike Willis. Please take care of yourself, and get the care you need. My prayers are with you my friend. Situations seem to happen to all of us, and I've had weather circumstances come my way this past week. They say it was a 500 year storm that blew into the area last Sunday. Did much destruction with all the flooding. Probably will take months to get those hardest hit back to normal, and the roads all cleared. I'm doing fine though, as I've gone away from it all. Have left the area to spend time with family, and my sisters, away from all of this. I didn't plan an extended stay away, but storms can to do that to your life. Be back at a later date. Best wishes to all.
Oh, Lord. I had a whole 3 paragraphs typed, and somehow erased it all. I've been off coffee for about a week and a half now, and am barely functional. I might have to try making a small cup later. I'll have to pick up a jar of instant, that would be easier for small cups. I don't have the energy to type everything again right now. @Bonnie Thomas It's so good to see you posting. We've been very worried, but I'm glad you're o.k., and are with family. @Ike Willis I hope you can get out for a little pleasure, even if it's just sitting on a park bench for a bit, to enjoy a little nature and the stimulation of different surroundings. Have a great day, y'all.
I'm not saying it's wrong, and I am certainly not suggesting you shouldn't have shared what you know. I was just doing the same.
I know. I just didn't realize at the time I shared this that we don't know everyone's health problems or what meds they might be on and whether what we are sharing could actually be harmful instead of helpful. There are a lot of medications that you can't mix certain things with too.
We're all adult here though, so we can be expected to take precautions. Plus, recommending orange juice is unlikely to be a dangerous suggestion.
