Concerto #6 in A minor isn’t by any means my favorite piece of classical music but…. One of my favorite things is to find someone who has been cast and even made famous in the light of one endeavor and then find out that that person is quite well versed in a totally different and often opposite look of what one might expect. Such.a person would be Jayne Mansfield who was well known for her beauty, her movies and later, even her relationship with JFK but the violin? When listening to her, even though her strokes are not as clean as one hears with the likes of Sarah Chang or Janine Jansen, still, Ms. Mansfield can be lauded as a violinist in her own right.
