Mayor Eric Adams Has Been Indicted

Mayor Adams has been indicts for foreign influence, bribery, and other stuff that hasn't been made public. Actually none of the indictment has been released, but what has been leaked indicates the listed charges. This again violates the DOJ long-standing policy of no indictments within 6 months of an election that could affect the election. (Similar to the interest rate cut by the Fed) The leakers indicate that the timing is probably due to Mayor Adams increasing vocal criticism of the Biden-Harris Administration policy on immigration and the open border. I guess you can't have a prominent Democrat criticizing the Administration this close to an election. Apparently the allegations have been known for a long time, but action was taken now for some reason.

Joe Biden has received foreign contribution through his Chinese and Ukrainian connections via his son Hunter. Will he also be indicted? Hillary has also received Chinese contributions. Will there be legal actions there too?

 

Joe, Hunter and Hillary are probably safe. Democrats protect each other as long as they return the favor.

Adams challenged Biden quite a lot on the illegal aliens. Now he's paying the price. At least that's what I'm seeing.

 

Many I have read feel the same. Adams tried to look out for his city, but was punished for it. I know very little about the man personally. He might be a good guy.

 

He bumped heads with Gov. Abbott and DeSantis too because for the most part, the busses filled with illegals that arrived in N.York came from Texas and a smaller amount from Florida but from the looks of things, neither the Florida or the Texas governor really care what Adams does.

He did appear in court today and pled not guilty to the charges so we’ll see how that turns out but since one of the charges has to do with illegal campaign donations, he probably isn’t one of Soros’s pets hence the Federal charges that did come from another one of the Soros backed puppets.

The police commissioner, head of city council and a couple other heads in NY City have quit and if Adams gets pushed out a full blown anti-capitalism socialist with mental issues is next in line to take over.

Is it any wonder why billions of dollars worth of industry and businesses are pulling out?

Yeah, I guess Adams campaigned in part of New York becoming a more welcoming "Sanctuary City" for illegals. Like so many Leftist ideas, it sounded good in the sound bites and campaign ads, but when it came to reality, those ideas weren't so great. He became a target when he came out against the Biden-Harris open border. As far as who would run New York if Adams leaves office, I'll be the same group that has made the country into such a stellar example of idiocy behind Biden will be glad to step in.

 

I’m not really that privy to the meanings of some of the political designations as it is applied to Dem run cities but I think what they mean by “Sanctuary City” is it is a sanctuary for the Citizens within the city limits.
It’s their sanctuary and not necessarily for outsiders of any kind unless maybe they’re carrying drugs, weapons, girls or can donate money to a left wing cause.

Uh…don’t be offended New Yorkers. It’s just a stab at satire in the middle of so much other crap New York’s political base is throwing around.

 

So was he in New York when it became a sanctuary city for illegals? I seem to remember he was, so he either came to his senses, at least for his "political" career thinking he better get on the winning team, I mean the team I hope wins this election.

Ok, this answered my question, should have read more replies on the thread I wondered if he was the one that helped NY become a sanctuary city.

 

Wasn't there a movie called "Escape from New York". I know there's on on LA, same deal. I just would not have survived living in cities like those. I guess you have to be born into it to understand, kind of like be born and raised in the "blessed" country atmosphere I was, some have no idea what that is like.

 

Adams was a cop in NYC for 20 years. He's retired. He's been a state senator, Brooklyn Borough president and always had a glib tongue and big promises. When he was running for mayor there were people who had worked with him speaking out about him being all hat and no cattle but the voters didn't listen. Those who knew him said he was a party boy and not the real thing as a cop. They could have had Curtis Sliwa instead.

Apparently Adams has been accepting free luxury flights and vacations from foreign countries like Turkey. His partner would book an economy flight for the two of them and then they would get free upgrades on foreign airlines. That's just one part of what he's in trouble for. There were also illegal donations to campaigns, etc.

NY voters always get what they deserve because they seem to always be looking for a handout and a big promise. People who keep electing Democrats over and over keep getting the same results and it always seems to be a surprise to them.

There were/are sanctuary cities/states for illegal aliens first. Now there are sanctuary states for abortions. They were promising free abortions and free trips to get them when the Supreme Court was deciding to cancel Roe vs Wade. I'm not sure how that's working for them now.

I think Tim Walz is a big advocate for Sanctuary Abortion State situations. He pushed the idea in Minnesota and even allows minors form other states to travel to Minnesota for abortions and sex change procedures if their own states don't allow those without parental permission.
On the conservative side, there are now Sanctuary States, Cites and Counties where infringements on the Second Amendment will not be enforced.

 

Don, thanks for mentioning the Second Amendment sanctuary states. That's an important point. We had some here who said they would not enforce a red flag law.
