Well, Beth, I go in next Monday (Veterans Day) for a consultation with the Urologist about my MRI. Depending on what he says, whether I even need a biopsy or not, I may hold off on getting it for a couple of weeks. I know what going into getting it and it's not fun! My MRI stated "likely for prostate cancer", while the statement below it says "very likely for prostate cancer". So, most likely a biopsy is the only thing I can have done to make sure. Like I said, "just depends on what the Urologist tells us".

As for our boat, like I told Jake, will definitely have to lower the cost more than we really want to and/or have it transported up north.

As for the SIL, Beth she won't listen and will come anyway. We have learned that about her. See her or not, will depend on what's going on with me.

You might look into donating the boat to charity and take it off your taxes.

Try not to fret too much @Cody Fousnaugh. I know it is hard. Just ask @Ken Anderson, @Beth Gallagher and the others who have confronted the big C. Wait until you get a firm diagnosis and an action plan to do the worrying, for simple targeted radiation may be the suggested action. If you aren't happy with what you are told, consult a second opinion. The should be able to use the same diagnostics and you wouldn't have to go through all the MRI and biopsy again. You decide for yourself though.

I hope you get a good report from the urologist, Cody. But you are buying trouble if you don't have the biopsy done. Some cancers are faster growing than others, so they need to verify whether it is cancer and then the type. The tests and treatment are unpleasant but then so is dying. I feel like I've gotten 4 "bonus" years of living after going through one year of hell, and I'm happy to still be here.

Stop worrying about being hospitalized. That is not going to happen unless you have surgery, and maybe not even then. Most women having mastectomies now don't even stay overnight after having a body part removed. (Gotta keep those insurance companies happy!!)

And if the SIL shows up after telling her "NO," don't open the damn door. People need to learn about boundaries.

First, thanks so, so much for your feelings here, Beth. Very much appreciated.

Most likely, I will have the biopsy done, but then again, it depends on what the urologist tells me. I think I want to ask about getting an ultrasound of my stomach also. I sometimes get a pain on the upper/right side of it and would like to know what that is all about.

As for the SIL, my wife could never "don't open the door" to her. Guess the SIL is just really afraid concerning us moving. IOW, she doesn't want us to move and thinks my wife/her sister will be very unhappy going back into winter weather. Thru Instant Messaging, I told her that it was her (my wife) idea to move up north and back to "Old Man Winter". I simply agreed with her.

Again, thanks for thinking about us.

True; you can't know about a place until you lived there, for a while. I've heard that they say, you should go check the place out, and stay for awhile, before considering buying there. Makes sense, to me. Hate that folks didn't jump on the boat deal, you offered them, "their loss", with the engine having such low hours. It's still quite hot here even now, I do hope you're able to sell at a reasonable price, without giving it away for hardly nothing. So strange when we go looking to buy one, they want an arm and leg, but when selling one, everyone wants something for nothing.

When Marie and I were first married, a few years later, she got pancreatitis, due to gall stones, and it almost killed her, the priest came in and read her, her last rights. She was in a coma for 12 days, while they pumped bile off it. But she did finally come back, and I spent every night with her and left for work in mornings, then came back every evening; but I was much younger back then and at our age, it would be really hard on us now.

I'm hoping for insurance, gro., price of gas, and everything, that it will come back down, with our new President, really soon. :)

First, Jake, when we visited the Strip before during summer months, it really didn't seem as hot as it is now. Either that, or we are just older or both. We've been to Vegas a number of times, but being that we never had "moving to Henderson" in our thoughts, we never decided to check it out.

When we arrived here in September 2023, we were really shocked at how much traffic there was and the amount of people. Of course, add in all of the daily tourism along with the regular population and here is extraordinarily big. IOW, we moved from a population of 78,000 to well over 3 million in the entire Vegas Valley. There are folks here that would tell anyone, "This valley is Utopia, compared to anywhere else in America. The heat don't bother us at all."

When it comes to "checking a place out to live", it can really cost. Gas, hotel room and food. And, since we can only live in an apartment, that's all we can check out for housing.

IOW, Jake, we made a mistake moving here and that's just the way it is. Money lost. Our next move, to Reno/Sparks area has to be our last move. There isn't a doubt about that.

Overwhelmed, Stressed out, Anxiety, Frustration The Theme for this thread What are we missing? Is there a solution? Or just diversions.
I am having anxiety attacks because I have to go at 12 o'clock for an MRI, I am claustrophobic, I feel like I should have canceled, On the other hand like most of you i'm having health issues, And I need to find out what's going on.
For me, I do the diversion thing pretty good. I could focus on lots of things to keep my mind off of my health problems.
Yesterday I was feeling lousy, but I Force myself to do some work in the yard. It kept me busy for couple of hours , for that time I forgot how I was feeling.
I have to go to do some prep things for the MRI, Hopefully you all will feel a little better today.

Troy Black has given me comfort over time and Dr Berg has some supplement recommendations that can help.
