News stations are just now reporting that an Egypt Air flight that was enroute from Paris to Cairo has suddenly disappeared off of the radar. The plane has at least 60 passengers and 10 crew reported as onboard the flight. Hopefully, it doesn't just vanish, and wasn't shot down, like some of the missing planes had happen to them. By tomorrow we should have more news about what has happened. https://www.rt.com/news/343502-egyptair-plane-paris-cairo-disappears/
They think that they are finding part of the wreckage in the ocean near Crete, and are now saying that they think that this was caused by terrorists. There was no distress messages of any kind before the plane disappeared off of the radar, which also makes the authorities think that it was not some kind of a problem on the airplane. Bobby also heard on the news that some people who are on the terrorit watchlist have been found to be working at the airport in Paris, which is where the flight look off from. Also , this morning, they are reporting that one of our B-52H Stratofortresses has crashed and burned at our Air Force base in Guam. This apparently happened as they were either taking off or landing, and is not thought to be terrorim, at least at this time. https://www.rt.com/news/343612-egypt-air-debris-found/
They are almost sure this was a terrorist attack according to the BBC news website.. Wreckage of EgyptAir flight MS804 has been found south of the Greek island of Karpathos, Egyptian aviation officials say. The Airbus A320 was en route from Paris to Cairo with 66 passengers and crew when it went down overnight. Egyptian Vice-President Ahmed Adel told CNN the rescue operation was "turning into a search and recovery". Officials say the plane is more likely to have been brought down by a terrorist act than a technical fault. It made two sharp turns and dropped more than 25,000ft (7,620m) before plunging into the Mediterranean Sea, Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos told reporters. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-36333664 You're right Gary it's not PC to call them terrorists... so if you'll just stand aside, and excuse me I will call them what they correctly are...murdering Scum.... !!!!!
I just read an interesting news article that connects several of our recent news stories for the month of May. Around the 17th-18th of May, there was a near-earth asteroid that entered the earth's atmosphere. A fireball was seen on the East Coast of the United States, and was recorded by a Police Officer (among others) in Maine. Another part of the asteroid is known to have crashed in South America, and there are videos and reports of a huge fireball sighting there, too. Apparently, the Egyptian Airbus also went through some of the debris from that asteroid, and this is a possible reason for the plane to suddenly catch on fire and crash without warning. Witnesses had reported seeing fire in the sky that night, and an asteroid hitting the plane would certainly have caused a fireball. I imagine that it will take them a while to determine the actual caue of the crash; but this is definitely a posibility. Another interesting thing that the news article shows iss that we are having a definite increase in asteroids every year. There is a chart at the bottom of the article that shows how much theey have increased over the last ten years. http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index2043.htm
That's an interesting idea @Yvonne Smith. I don't know what's more terrifying, thinking a flight would be hit by a random asteroid, or by a terrorist attack. From what I have heard, ISIS claimed responsibility, but they would probably do that regardless, just to boost their reputation. It would be nice to have that disproven, and show them to be liars, in addition to murderous miscreants.
Yes, it would seem that the plane did explode in mid flight. This could mean that it was hit by an asteroid which is kind of a random thing that hasn't actually been determine. The most probable explanation that many suspect a bomb or fire on board. Fires have been known to break out on planes for various reasons so that can't be ruled out either.
