It is rainy season in my part of this world. I actually welcome the rains after a long long months of drought and hot weather. We only have the dry and the rainy season and July is the second month of our wet season.

Good Morning everybody, well the day has started out pretty positively in that I got a bookcase sold first thing this AM:) Naturally I am sure I paid 3x more for it than I sold it for, but anyway, I am trying to clear that room out so, it is helpful nonetheless One less thing I have to worry about moving or finding a home for. That carpet in there is in awful shape though. I have a steam cleaner, but not even sure that will do the trick. However, I need to do something about it. Anyway, I hope everyone has a nice morning and day!!!! very humid here IN Central Virginia. I wouldn't be going outside but i have the dog to deal with!!!!!! Happy, Happy!:):)

Hello - Wednesday evening as I type. Thank you Mari - I hope everybody had/is having a good day.

I'm recovering well - the tactic seems to be to keep me busy and moving! I'm not ill after all and to keep the blood circulating is the plan. Lot's of hydra- and physio- therapies and walking on crutches as I can't put any weight on my ankle yet. I've been walking the corridors and visiting other patients - which has been good for me, I can see first hand that I'm not in such a bad state. The gardens are lovely and I sat out in the sun this afternoon. Dany's suffering from shock - he has had to increase his asthma meds, poor old wotsit. He's allowed to stay until after visiting hours close tonight so that we can watch the Wales vs Portugal match together (EUROS 2016 football).

That sounds like a cool hospital, @Julie Stewart, letting him stay longer and also having a nice garden. I hope you take a picture or two, and continue to recover nicely.

Good Morning, Y'all. As usual, I'm up way too early. I thought I'd visit y'all for a few minutes, then go read until hopefully I fall back to sleep. I'm considering moving some things in here (office) down to the back room, and setting up a tea station here for the early mornings, so I don't have to trek downstairs to make a cup of tea, waking up all of the kitties and strays. They sure do get excited for a meal as soon as they hear/see me moving about. Here's a picture of one of the strays sitting on my car right outside my kitchen window, letting me know he's ready for breakfast!

Love love love that picture, @Diane Lane (as I do all of your kitty pics!)

Well now, good morning, everyone! Gonna be rather tepid here today, but I'm tough so I'll deal with it. (Uh... after I turn the a/c on, I'll deal with it, that is!) :p

What are you reading, Diane? I started one before I got up this morning, but it's a thriller... psychological thriller maybe, and I'm not sure I'll be able to handle it. Plus it's long, and there are over 70 chapters. Even reading the prologue gave me anxiety, so we'll see.

Have a beautiful Thursday, all! I plan to enjoy it fully... I'll be working, but I'm going to make the best of it. Trying not to eat today until suppertime 'cause I had two burritos last night instead of the one I was determined to eat. Yeah, I'm into self inflicted punishment, I guess. So far, so good... only coffee and I've been up for three hours. Only 10 more to go! :D

Mornin'. Cloudy, hot, humid with rain and thunderboomies approaching. Let 'er blow.
Last night I got tired of watching 'American Pickers' reruns and sprang for a pay per view movie. My choice was 'I saw the light', about Hank Williams senior, my all time favorite. The movie left a lot to be desired. It was a long movie that should have spent more time on Hank's music and less on all the drama, like they did with 'The Buddy Holly story', in my opinion.
I better go look at Facebook and see if any family members need bail money.
Take care, and stay dry if your in my part of the mid west.:)

Good Morning, Again. I decided to go down and am back with tea and toast, and all of the kitties are fed. I even did the dishes from last night that I was too tired to do then (after I washed the actual pans and such), my few dishes were too much.

Thanks, @Mari North, I love those little strays. I wish I had the money and room to take them inside. Alas, I have a few territorial and neurotic kitties in here already, and it wouldn't work. They have adopted me, though, and are very sweet, and so appreciative of the food and loving they get. I just started the 2nd book of the Wayward Pines Trilogy, and despite it getting lighter outside, I'm going to still go back to bed in a bit and read at least a little of it. Ha, I love psychological thrillers, both books and movies. I hope you enjoy it and your day.

I was just watching and listening to a sweet little chipping sparrow out on the balcony and saw a squirrel running along one of the wires. The sunrise isn't particularly pretty this morning, at least so far, so I haven't taken pictures. Have a great day, y'all.

Good Morning to everyone! I was up earlier and writing this thread, but it didn't post for some reason. I did some surveys and things this AM got caught up with my Words With Friends Games and started posting. I took the dog out, and had a convo with roomie, then I just couldn't keep my eyes open. For some reason after I think I am well rested, I have gotten sleepy after working online and being up for an hour or two. I felt so sleepy this AM I needed a nap. I hope this pattern doesnt continue! Once I am up, I want to stay up!:) I hope everyone has a great day!

Too Funny Ike Willis! Your relatives needing bail money! Mine like to post about how perfect their life is! Sigh! Either that or crank about politics or how stupid the patients and other staff members are...one is a nurse. I would get rid of facebook, but it comes in handy once in a while. I think I liked it better when I didn't know every detail of their lives though.

I gotta say though, that my wilder family members have settled down considerably these days, and are raising the next generation of hell raisers.:D

Hey @Ike Willis , here's a link for Hank Williams Sr, that talks about his lost notebooks, with songs and lyrics he wrote. His granddaughter finished writing one of them.

This morning was a busy one for us. Today was fitness/swimming day, so we went there first thing this morning, and then we went for our monthly trip to Sam's Club to stock up. They had some of the protein whey powder that we use on sale, so we got a large bag of that, along with the coffee, peanut butter, and other usual supplies we get each month.

When I am at the pool, it is kind of my "ME" time, and besides the exercise and swimming, I just let my mind wander and work on things while I swim.
Sometimes, I think of something that I want to "tap" about, and then I go in the far corner of the pool and do some meridian tapping.
After I had been doing that today, and then went back to swimming, one of the other ladies who also swims almost every day asked me what I was doing over there in the corner "talking to myself". So I said I was " meridian tapping" , and then went on to explain that it is similar to acupuncture; but no needles.
She said that she wondered what that was all about; but thought maybe I had some unique way of saying the rosary while I swam.
So , we laughed, and then I explained to her how it worked and that there are some good tutorials on youtube if she wants to learn more.
By then, we had swam to the other end of the pool, and two other people were listening to us, and it turns out that one of them uses meridian tapping also (just not right there in the corner of the swimming pool like I was doing).
So, it was a fun and interesting morning.
When I talked with @Ina I. Wonder , she said they finally got the chemical stress test done; so that was good news. Her doctor had told her that if she does the meridian tapping, it could help put off the need for the heart operation for several years; so we talked about that and she said she is working on it, too.
