After awhile eating healthy becomes a way of life. I don't need to lose weight but I still prefer my veggies and healthier choices now....not saying I don't cheat once in awhile but this has worked for me for years.

As a teenager, it was the 60s fashion to wear coloured tights, I chose 'white' :p
My boyfriend at the time said me legs looked like 2 milk bottles .............:D

Did you still keep him? :)

I do remember white tights and stockings being very popular, also in the late 60's I wore fishnet stockings and white go go boots with very pale lipstick ....think it was the mod look and twiggy was very popular.

@Chrissy Page - ah yes, I was a true Mod, me favourite outfit was a suede skirt, suede waistcoat and suede boots :p
I loved the fashion, so cute. Pale lipstick and pan stick (Max Factor) :D
No I didn't keep him, in fact we went to the cinema and he wouldn't let me watch the movie, so I said excuse me - got up
and walked out - left him sitting there :p

I worry about not enjoying retirement due to health also. It's why I want to retire at least partially, sooner than later.

I fell at work x2 within about two months both times going down on my hands. So fast I didn't know what hit me. My doctor thinks it's my rotator cuff and I went to the clinic for Workmans Comp. The nice Nurse Practitioner sent in the paper work and I sent in additional but have heard nothing back. If we had our old good insurance, I would have never gone the Workman's comp route and just stayed with my MD but our current insurance sucks big time (new company took over our building and gave us crap insurance)

The pain weakness and inability to lift my left arm came on slowly. Strangely it seems a little better. Not sure where this will go. I don't think I want surgery.

Hypertension runs in my family. I used to have uncontrolled hypertension but within a year of improving my diet, eating raw food at every meal and of course taking my prescribed maintenance med, high blood pressure was practically controlled. I also take supplements, with special attention to Vitamin C, calcium and magnesium.

Okay, I have to admit time and again that I have hypertension and taking maintenance medication is not enough assurance that I wouldn't be hit by a stroke. Oh, there are so many cases of stroke in our circle - relatives, friends, colleagues, etc. My mother and 2 of her sisters are all stroke victims. I think it's about the lifestyle which is fast-paced with fatty foods and all the pressures around us. With the realization of my hypertension, I am slowing down and am trying my best not to be involved with the problems of other people.

I created a thread about massage therapy which is a good stress reliever. And I'm availing of that service at least once a week which relaxes me right during bedtime.
