Although I was a few decades away from being born in the 1920s, I have seen some movies that were filmed in the 1920s. This was a time of silent films, although talkies were introduced in the latter part of the decade. I had a hard time coming up with twenty 1920s movies that I actually liked, so I have come up with twenty movies that I think I remember having seen, a few of which I thought were actually good. Although Our Gang was presented on television as a series in the 1940s, they originally played in theaters, so I have included them in my list.
    • Metropolis
    • Our Gang
    • Nanook of the North
    • Hearts and Spurs
    • The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog
    • The Mysterious Island
    • The Wizard of Oz
    • The Lucky Dog
    • Greed
    • The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
    • Laugh, Clown, Laugh
    • Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde
    • In Old Arizona
    • The American Prisoner
    • Redskin
    • The Return of Sherlock Holmes
    • Wolf Song
    • 3 Bad Men
    • On with the Show

I think that TCM channel does silent movies back to back.

Metropolis is a timeless classic. I watch it at least once a year.
    It still amazes me.
