In no particular order, here are some 1950s movies that I liked. The Searchers Shane 12 Angry Men The Bridge on the River Kwai High Noon Rio Bravo The Third Man The Day the Earth Stood Still The Big Country Strangers on a Train Suddenly, Last Summer No Time for Sergeants The Young Lions A Farewell to Arms Rear Window Shane Peter Pan Annie Get Your Gun Strangers on a Train Alice in Wonderland
You beat me to it, lol. My list of Black and White movies. Color was introduced in 1954, but pretty expensive so not many movies were color till around 1957 or so. The Wild Ones 1953 Ace in the Hole 1951 Strangers on a Train 1951 Marty 1955 On the Waterfront 1954 From Here to Eternity 1953 Stalag 17 1953 The Day the Earth Stood Still 1951 The African Queen 1951 12 Angry Men 1957
Yep loved most if not all of those Films...and add to them every song and dance movie that was made then too... ( although you do have Strangers on a train, twice ken)
Oops. I didn't like it that much. I won't change the post, but let's imagine "On the Waterfront" in one of those spots.
@Craig Swanson I had nightmares for weeks after seeing it. One scene in which one of the snake-like heads veers into their hiding place, was particularly frightening! Frank
Yes after their plane crashes and they seek shelter. One of my great scenes. The one that will always stay with me is when we first see the alien craft rising from the valley floor.
