The Imperial Ice Cream Shop, a hangout for us kids after school, was the place to be. Peanuts in the coke, eyeing the girls in the next booth and just enjoying life. You could play the records right from the booths. Each one had their own machine with the songs listed. Some times you would have to wait a long time to hear your song.

I'm trying to remember, but somewhere we use to buy the old 78s from the jukeboxes. They were like five for a quarter but were pretty worn out unless you wanted to hear side two of the record.
