THREE HOURS OR MORE IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!! WHAT?!!! What's that saying 'Measure twice, cut once' make that 'READ Twice, and once more for it to sink in.'
After waiting 3 hours, the dough was hard as a rock, so hard I thought it would bend the cookie cutters. The girls started going through the cutters and I was only going to use the gingerbread shape BUT they had lots of other shapes in mind. They will be out of school until Dec. 4th so seeing that I can leave the dough in the frig I decided to wait until Monday so they could cut the dough in the shapes that they like.
Well, the story goes as Mom says after asking where are the girls, 'They are in school and they were shockingly surprised about that. 'My thought 'Even the best laid plans go awry.' So the gingerbread cookies in different shapes are done.
I don't know but they looked delicious. I'm not sure if they have eaten gingerbread cookies before. I'm sure they will critique them. Bells were multi colored, trees were green, reindeer with red nose and gingerbread men had red buttons were chocolate, angels were multicolored, and hearts were red. I threw the recipe away.
