Anyone watching? Better Call Saul is a spinoff/prequel of one of my favorite shows Breaking Bad. Last night I finished watching BCS on Netflix, and I really liked it!. Season 2 starts Monday. I don’t have AMC on my cable lineup, and I’m not getting more channels, so I’ll have to read summaries, reviews, and then wait until S2 comes to Netflix. I enjoyed seeing Michael McKean (Lenny from Laverne & Shirley), who plays Chuck, Saul’s brother. Other treats were Mike Ehrmentraut and psycho Tuco Salamanca – both from Breaking Bad.
I have it on a couple DVDs at home. When I get back there I'll watch it. I liked Saul on Breaking Bad, my favorite TV show ever!
I just started watching the series. I only liked it until Saul set up that couple and he figured out what his brother thought about him. I stopped watching it after he went back to being 'Jimmy something'.
I didn't realize it until just now after re-reading everyone's post that Better Call Saul is a spin off of Breaking Bad. Now that was an *excellent* series. It boggles me though are there any of the characters from Breaking Bad in Better Call Saul? I did see that the finale for BCS approaching soon I might watch that one.
@Von Jones BCS is a prequel BB. The season finale is in three weeks. Yes, there are many BB characters on BCS.
Once I cut the cord, I'm planning on watching Breaking Bad (assuming all of the seasons are available) and the first season of Better Call Saul on Netflix. I am really loving this season, but missed what came before, and want to get caught up on it, so I can really appreciate what's going on. I don't want to watch that until this season ends.
@Diane Lane All 5 seasons of Breaking Bad are on Netflix. Season 1 of Better Call Saul is on Netflix, but Season 2 (the current season) will not be on Netflix until February of 2017.
Thanks @Arlene Richards , I'm catching Better Call Saul on cable while I still have it. I think the current season might also be available on Hulu, but I'm not positive about that. I wasn't sure how many seasons there were of Breaking Bad, thanks for that information. I watched one or two episodes back in the day, but just didn't have enough time to devote to it. I'm looking forward to marathoning the episodes, hopefully soon. Did you watch Talking Saul (or Talking Bad?), and if so, was it worth watching? I think at this point, it would probably just confuse me more, since I haven't seen Season 1 yet, but eventually it might be worth watching.
@Diane Lane no I didn't watch Talking Saul yet. I have not seen S2 - only read reviews. I think it's a HUGE mistake not to watch BB & BCS in sequence without skipping anything.
My grandson took my Better Call Saul and hasn't returned it yet. I'll watch it eventually. He told me he liked BB a lot better than Better Call Saul.
I likе hоw thеy plаy with timе аnd sеquеnсеs likе thеy оftеn did in BB. Wе knоw it is gоing prе-BB, but thе sеriеs stаrtеd оut in thе prеsеnt/futurе with Sаul hiding оut in Оmаhа аnd Сinnаbоns. Nоt hаrd tо guеss thе сlimаx will bе sоmеtimе аftеr thаt. Sо it аppеаrs thеy gо bасk аnd fоrth in timе аnd асtuаlly sее Wаltеr & Jеssе аgаin (аlrеаdy sееn Mikе Е) if оnly fоr а shоrt timе. Wе'vе аlsо sееn it gоеs wаy bасk tо Sаuls еаrly dаys in Сhiсаgо? whеrе hе wаs in prisоn. I think this hаs еvеn mоrе prоmisе thаn BB аt lеаst frоm аn аrtistiс/litеrаry wаy. Аnd nоt аs оvеr thе tоp (аs I wrоtе thаt I knоw itrsоunds а littlе strоng, but hоpеfully yоu knоw whаt I mеаn)
I started watching that once. I guess I need to go back to it. I loved Breaking Bad, and I binge watched that on Netflix as I never watched it when it was on TV. I have to figure out how to get Netflix back on my kindle. I have it on my phone and computer, but I can only watch it after Midnight, because I don't have unlimited internet, so can not stream without using a lot of bandwidth.
