Yes..yes...and yes, Patsy...I have so many I wouldn't know where to start but I can tell you I loved all the 'diaries' of Tony Benn... he kept Diaries from being a very young man..all of them are about his political and also his personal life...and they are really fascinating. I liked the last 2 best where he was retiring in the penultimate one and , then in the last one retired from politics...and looking inwards to what was going on within the government as an outsider called More time for Politics which covers the years 2001-2007 ......and his final diary before he died which is called A Blaze of Autumn Sunshine 1991-2012 In all I think there was about 8 or more diaries between around 1940 until his death. The earlier ones didn't hold as much interest for me as the later ones, although they would be very interesting for those who enjoy politics..... but even for those who are not politically minded, I'm sure they would enjoy the last 2 diaries. Here's a little insight from reviews of the last one Blaze of Autumn sunshine... https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13573453-a-blaze-of-autumn-sunshine What about you Patsy, what Biographies have you read and enjoyed?
Will get back to you on the above Holly - had a terrible night so not fully awake yet @Holly Saunders
Ah Tony Benn, my favourite politician I've put the Amazon link in my favourites as its available on Kindle Thanks Holly - you're a gem and no mistake
My 3 favourites were an autobiography by Tommy Steele - fab, this is very descriptive and easy reading style, he is truly a great person I read several books on Judy Garland until one book recommended another writer of a book about her ! How 'bout that - he said it was the best so I got it from the library. I know it was called simply 'Judy' and it was a big book. Totally engrossing and it was the best. 3rd - was Tallulah Bankhead a crazy girl - made me laugh Then of course I had to read about Only Fools and Horses, really interesting to read about all the actors sad - in parts
