There are lots of foods we buy at home but if we ask for them in Canbera ACT ,
New South Wales or Queensland the shop workers are either rude or just go HUH ….No

So just a few things we’d normally buy , we can’t get interstate

Fritz DH likes bung Fritz ..with tomato sauce

Most of these foods are once in a while….. TREATS ….but it impossible to buy any of them here

We akways have the biscuits as they are a sweet treat snack and fairly low in calories …unless we make a biscuit sandwich :):)
( butter in between 2 yo yos )

Woolies have a Devon it’s nothing like bung fritz …and it’s like a potted meat / salty large roll in QLD

That stuff looks similar to American bologna. (Usually pronounced "baloney." :D)

There are also regional foods/drinks in the USA, Kate. When I go to visit my sister 800 miles away, she has access to my favorite Duplin wines from North Carolina in many different stores (even Walmart). I can't buy Duplin in any local stores.

That's a problem any large nation like Australia and the U.S. would have...lots of miles and many regions. There are some products nationwide here like Budweiser beer. We have our more local brands too like Yuengling which is America's oldest brewer but it is spreading.

I doubt that you could get grits (made from coarsely ground dried maize or hominy) in most places outside the southern states, and many regions have not even heard of them. There are brands of foods and condiments that are also regional (like Duke's mayonnaise only being in the south.)
