Cage free eggs? Why on earth would eggs require a cage anyhow? Are they afraid they'll escape by rolling away?
There is a problem with the wording here no doubt about that. Its obvious they meant to say eggs from cage free hens. In other words the hens were not kept in cages, but were allowed to roam a barnyard. But this was apparently too much to put on the carton so it came out saying cage free eggs. Maybe there should of been a little disclaimer on the carton explaining that meaning so no one went around thinking that eggs are actually caged up.
I suppose the cage might keep the eggs from rolling away and breaking, but the carton seems to do a pretty good job of that. Rescued from a cage only to be shut up in a carton.
