    In the 1941 film with Orson Welles, Charles Foster Kane had bought a newspaper with his $60 million inheritance, and his financial advisor told him that the paper lost a million dollars last year.

    Kane then said "If we continue this way, I'll have to sell the paper in 60 years!"

    I wonder why he was losing money on a newspaper that many years ago. They didn't start to go belly up until the last 10 years or so.

    But think it was based on a person ,

    Think the name was Hurst and years after this film his grand daughter was the one kidnapped by nutters and then became one.
