Presently we blame climate change for the presistent fires, floods and plague. In the past, did we blame volcanoes, (Mt Vesuvius and Pompei), the big flood and fire on climate change or was it due to the adverse effects of the world and the living?
Our 4.5 billion year-old Mother Earth is gonna do what she's gonna do. 15,000 years isn't even noticeable within 4.5 billion years, but here is what happened. 15,000 years ago there was a mile+-thick ice sheet right where I live. Was it caused by cavemen polluting? Notice that the solution to ALL these drummed-up, hysterical, phony problems is ALWAYS a bigger, more powerful government.
In my life I learned it gets cooler in the fall and cold in the winter and hot in the summer, it still does the same thing, starting next week the heat is coming a month or 2 later than normal so really so far a much cooler summer here, I feel fairly sure as winter gets closer we will have some cooler temps probably the same as prior and next year to.
Since most of us won't likely be around when the serious effects show up, I think we should let the young people decide what they want to do, and stay out of it. At least not try to obstruct every chance we get.
Assuming we can control earth's climate (which we can't) should we cool it down to where "The Little Ice Age" was, 500 or so years ago -- and thousands (millions?) died via starvation because of widespread crop failures? It's all BS. "Climate change" is just one more vehicle being used to expand government power and decrease personal liberty.
Deforestation is at an alarming rate with hectares of forest being burned and cut each second. Waters are polluted. The livestock industry is polluting the air through a number of greenhouse gases they send into the atmosphere through animal waste. The ecosystem is collapsing and we are at the verge of extinction. People are sick and dying of many climate related diseases like cancers, malnutrition, cardiovascular diseases etc. We are losing Mother Earth in the name of making money but we should be rest assured there is no future on a dead planet. Mother Earth is crying... This is the present situation which was nonexistent in the past, or partially so.
Maybe you should move from wherever you are or, probably more helpful, use a little bit of discernment in what you consider news. We don't have dumb-ass forestry policies here in Maine, so our forests rarely burn. Of course, the fact that it rains every third day or so probably helps too. Overall, our rivers and streams are far cleaner than they were a century ago, and people are eating better and living way longer than they were a century ago. The history of the planet is one of climate change, and it can do that with or without our help.
Oh, where i live there is plenty of rain, i do not have to water my plants, they are thriving. It seems you are only concerned about where you live and your surroundings. The effects of what is happening elsewhere may come to bite you in the near future.
Getting a real view of "climate." An Overview of the Last Global Glaciation The very LAST paragraph of the above article: "Most of the world's glaciers are famous today however for their significant retreats in recent years. Such a retreat represents a new shift in the earth’s climate—something that has happened time and time again over the earth's 4.6 billion year history and will no doubt continue to do in the future. "
It’s been back and forth but it wasn’t but a couple of years ago that the news broadcast that the sun itself was heating up. Now, some scientists say that’s nuts and others are still in some kind of limbo and some are on board as to whether the sun’s activity is causing planetary changes including earth. Some of the nay sayers have said that Neptune and Pluto have warmed up considerably (unproven as of yet) for some reason but the other planets remain about the same as they were a thousand years ago except of course, earth. Here in N. Alabama we just started having summer or at least, what I call summer. June and early July were below normal when it comes to heat and we’ve had more rain than we’ve had in years thus far. We haven’t even used the A/C until 2 days ago and before that we just used the window unit dehumidifier for cooling. Dunno. Two things I do know though. Money can’t buy love and it can’t stop global warming (if such a thing really even exists). Money gleaned from overtaxation will definitely line the pockets of those who are influential enough to continue on with the charade though, which to me, is the ultimate goal of overpaid politicians, media darlings and media-made-famous scientists. Ref. Al Gore, Thunberg and Fauci.
I think a lot of the data gathered from our reaction to COVID Controls is gonna be used against us for Climate Controls. All they have to do is substitute things like "single family dwelling" and "internal combustion engine" for "going maskless" as evidence that "they are trying to kill you," and we'll become an instant 3rd World.
I heard a "scientist" comment yesterday that mankind has more effect on the earth's climate than the sun does. I wonder where he got his education. I also heard a commentator state that they were trying to come up with a means to state that personal gun possession is what really spreads Covid in the U.S. (tongue in cheek).
