There are many posts scattered about the forum asking about him. Also PMs. I know @Ken Anderson emailed him and @Sheldon Scott has been checking other forums, does anybody have any news?
No, not that I've heard, Chrissy. I just checked the thread I made about it last week in case I missed something, but no, there haven't been any new replies since Thursday to my question about Ike either.
Oops, sorry Mari. Didn't see the post, or if I did I forgot. What to do, what to do? Can I delete a post I started?
It doesn't look good the only hope is that he's in hospital recovering from some sort of emergency, we can only live in hope, I guess in a senior forum it's inevitable that members will disappear from time to time I had an old friend die a couple of months ago, but luckily his daughter found my email address on his computer, so she let me know in time for his funeral. We just don't normally have that kind of backup on a forum, unless there has been some off forum contact.
Many years ago, before people became so concerned about Internet privacy, a forum administrator would have a lot of information on registered members. However, we gather only the minimum of information here. Other than trying to contact him by email, I don't know what else I could do. I haven't heard back from my email, by the way. I pray that he is okay and that he will rejoin us one day soon.
Nothing to do with Ike or you Ken but a few years ago I was on a seniors forum and the admin died. His daughter did get on the forum and told everyone. A few of us chipped in $25 and had a nice flower arrangement sent to his funeral.
Hehe You sound like me! No, it has to stay here... the more the better. Maybe someone who's not here much will see them and know what's going on. Besides, that was Thursday, and he'd been here on Tuesday, and I seriously thought he'd be back right away and tell me to stop Mama Henning him because he's a big boy. @Chrissy Page
You keep right on mother henning, Mari. We are all concerned. And you're right....I did kinda sound like you....it's rubbing off on me.
I understand the need for privacy (boy do I... within the last few weeks I've been dealing with identity theft from having paid a few bills online and a communications co. in India wiped out all my vacation money from the debit... all of it. Every lousy penny and I don't have access to it now for a while.) Uh... ooops, totally derailed my train of thought there... oh yeah, I understand the need for privacy, but at the same time, I do kind of wish that someone trustworthy would at least have members' real names and some form of contact info. I realize that things like deciding one can't afford internet connection happen all the time, so I'm trying to keep positive about this... and @Chrissy Page , I'm going to give you the task of delivering the Mari-lecture and finger shaking should Ike return while I'm away between this weekend and the 24th. Scold him a good 'un for scaring us like this!
Yes, can understand internet being turned off, if he did it intentionally I'd think he would have mentioned that. @Mari North , someone else will have to do the scolding, maybe @Holly Saunders. I'm a pushover...
Hmmmm..... is this where I'm supposed to say "And I'm the queen of England?" But okay, as long as someone does it, I'm alright with that. I need to go dust the palace now.. I'll check back later today... gotta pay some bills before leaving town. Signed, QueenMari
