How serious is this, in reality, do you think? Both are well-known to possess nukes. Both have exhibited retaliatory reverence in the past, over a variety of skirmishes. Should we, the U.S., intervene to prevent further escalation? If so, how? One could ask Zbigniev Brzezinsky or Henry Kissinger for help here; both had great exposure to the geo-political fray while milking the foreign policy cow. Should we watch and wait, invade Pakistan (surely not poor India!), do a turn-about, spread rectal-dalliance, or what? Frank
@Frank Sanoica I think it is a dangerous situation, not by plan, but an accident or misstep to take this to the next level, and that could be very bad. I don't think there is anything we can or should do is this instance. I believe the EU and, particularly the UK are considering opening talks, but I don't know if they have anything started yet.
Here is an update on this topic from a defense contractor site: https://www.defenseone.com/ideas/20...rump-and-kim/155196/?oref=defenseone_today_nl
It would take a seance to ask Zbigniev Brzezinsky. I see no reason for our intervention and wouldn't be surprised if President Trump agrees with me (for a change!)
@Lulu Moppet Of course it would! What could be wrong with seeking help from beyond? It likely would not prove asny more faulty than from the present....... I was being facetious regarding help, I'd hoped that would be seen. Frank
