in El Reno, Oklahoma, a town of less than 19,000. Oklahoma who for many years has relied on the oil industry to fuel its economy has seen a drastic downturn. It has hurt its schools and local governments
and state economy from top to bottom. El Reno will be especially hard hit. Halliburton is closing its
Plant in El Reno. That's been the story of the oil exploration business in Texas and Oklahoma. Boom or bust.

Sorry to hear it, especially for those families during the holidays. I'm in Houston (and previously worked in the industry) so I know those boom/bust cycles.

I worked for Halliburton a few years until a bust. And once met Red Adair who worked out of Houston.

I remember when our City here in Louisiana went bust with the oil industry. We had a big billboard that said: "The last one out of Louisiana please turn off lights." Our City learned to not put "their eggs all in one basket" ever again...and we never had to turn off all the lights.
