It is as big aaround as a barrel and hubbys little chain saw is not working that good on this tree. He wants to rent a front end loader this fall to clear some vines and small trees meantime we have big opening into our property. Not to speak of the 5' no climb fence damaged. We have had this happen many times but this tree is really big. The work is never done here an d its not getting easier.
Sounds like you have a big job, and will need to hire someone, or rent a large chainsaw for the job. We’re you right in the path of the hurricane ?
Yes but it was just a cat 1 when it came over us, if that, what caused the tree to fall was all the rain we had weeks prior to the storm.Satuated ground and tree weakens it. We lost 4 trees that day aacross our trails ,he moved all but this one and its had to also be the largest one.We just have 11 acres but thats too much as we get older.
my husband and I have had to do lots of tree work...as we age..takes longer...we hired out for 2 ver large ones...we had large piles to go thru ...if it stops raining here...tomorrow..I'll take a picture of what's left...
Hubby has too but he scares me ,he has all that metal in his back plus he is older now.I'm always getting on him about doing too much.
