I have been on eight cruises but only one All Inclusive Cruise which was outstanding. My favorite was on a twin masted 90ft. schooner with just nine passengers & a crew of five for 12 days. The huge 3,000 passenger ships are like being in a city and their is no sensation of sailing. I prefer ships with 100 to 300 passengers. Silver Sea was my All Inclusive cruise. Lisbon to Rome

I'm not sure what you mean by an all-inclusive cruise, but I have only been on one cruise. That was a Caribbean cruise in which the room, food, and a choice of things to do during stops were included, so I am thinking that would be considered an all-inclusive cruise. The only thing we paid for was if we wanted to tour the islands that it stopped at on our own, as opposed to the arranged tours, or if we were going to gamble at the on-ship casino. The 24-hour food bar was terrific, as the food choices there were far better than the fancy dining room options. I guess I'm not a fancy dining kind of guy because there would be four options available, and none of them were any good. We were on the cruise with my in-laws, and they liked the dining room meals. Usually, I'd go to the food bar afterward for something good.

All Inclusive Cruises provide the highest level of service and therefore cost more up front. All Tipping is included for room service & dining--wine & other alcoholic beverage in your suite, off ship tours, massage,

That's what we had then. We couldn't walk out of the room without them replacing everything that we had used in the room and so on.

I went on one to the Bahamas. I loved every minute of it. We sailed into a storm on the return trip and encountered twenty - thirty foot waves. A lot of people got seasick but it didn't bother me except for having to hold on to the handrails to walk anywhere...………………... And the creaking.

I'd love to go on another one if I get an opportunity.

Of course, you know that I am kidding. I can afford the cruise. I will go when the time is right.

If I was in better physical shape I would invite you as my guest for the companionship. Google the Windstar Cruises. They are outstanding.

Cruises are a vacation I never had a desire for. I love my feet on the ground. Flying and driving to a destination and that's it and then use my feet. One woman I knows always bragged about the 40 some cruises she had taken, didn't impress me, but did her.

If that is what a person likes then I say do them. They are floating restaurants, I've heard people say they gained over 20 lbs when they got home. Eating all day.

I've been on one cruise in my life, besides the Westpac Cruise to Nam while in the Navy (LOL). Wife and I went on a 3-day Bahamas Cruise out of Port Canaveral. My wife has been on one other one, besides the one we went on.

A hurricane off of the south Florida coast, delayed our ship arriving and departing. Suppose to depart, with a champagne "goodbye" at 1PM, but was taken by bus to just outside of Disney World, to walk around. After we returned to Orlando Airport, we had to go all thru the Security Clearance thing again, because of a glitch in the computer system that wiped out all info from all the passengers on the ship. We finally left the airport at 10:30PM and arrived at Port Canaveral at about 11:30PM. Was eating burgers/fries for supper on deck at 1AM. Our itinerary even changed. The only thing that was paid for, with the cruise, was our food. Anything done at the two Ports we went to, Nassau and Freeport, we had to pay for online before the cruise. Nassau was absolutely beautiful, with a Disney Cruise Line already docked there, but Freeport had been hit by outer-bands of the hurricane and the beach area was pretty messy. All-in-all, it was a pretty nice cruise, for being my first cruise, and only, cruise outside the Navy. The Captain's Party and the Formal Dinner was really nice. Getting our picture taken in our Formal wear was really cool.
Our ship was the Carnival Sensation and was going to be completely redone after our cruise.

Would I go on another, definitely, but finances just would never call for it. If the finances ever did, we'd go on an "Oldies" or "Classic Rock" cruise.

My daughter went on one of the Alaskan cruises that go from Seattle up the Canadian coastline to the lower part of Alaska and back, with several stops along the way. She had an awesome time on the cruise, and got some gorgeous pictures of the scenery along the way, plus they went whitewater rafting and she also went on a zip line, which she loved doing.
I would love to go on a cruise, but I don’t want to go to Alaska, or anywhere that cold. I would like to do something like @Cody Fousnaugh and his wife went on, a short cruise in the Bahamas or the Caribbean.
Bobby has no interest in going on a cruise, so it is not something that I will ever do, but I enjoy looking at the pictures online, and I even get a cruise magazine from the Norwegian Cruise Line, and the cruise pictures from where they go are just fabulous.
When Robin went on the cruise, she told me about the ship cam and how to follow that from their website, so when the webcam was working, I could actually see the same tings that she was seeing from the ship, and I really enjoyed that as well.

Cruises, like some other types of vacations, aren't cheap. When folks have to fly to the area of the cruise line, airline tickets come into focus. Meals and entertainment are free, but for other things, the cruise line has their own credit card to have money on, such as gambling, buying souvenirs, professionally take photos (besides the few that come with the cruise) and buying alcoholic beverages (at least that's the way it was for us).

A cruise can be a great time, unless there are families w/children onboard, like Disney Cruises have. Lots of screaming/yelling little ones and even some drunk young folks. It can become a headache and a half. To me, that's what would be so nice about an Oldies or Classic Rock cruise...……..older folks, as in Seniors, but could have some young folks on it as well.

At the time we went on ours, in August 2008, my wife wanted to make sure I'd been on a cruise with her while both of us were in descent health.
