    I think it was based on those TV ads that speak of getting braces at little or no cost to you by calling an 800 number, but I am not certain.

    That's what I heard, also diabetes test strips and other medical equipment. Just disgusting.

    To me this is a from of fraud - my hubby does not have medical insurance yet, so his new doctor told him of a place
    where he get the CT scan of chest done for $275. So he went, they did it for the $ 275. Then got a bill from them for $1395!
    It was sent it error, that bill is if you have insurance !

    It's always amazed me that some of those TV ads don't even have a company name or website. They just have an 800 number. I don't deal with people who I can't check out.

    That is what I have written about in other threads @Gloria Mitchell. If Medicare didn't exist, the $275 is what everybody would be paying.
