http://www.foxnews.com/health/2017/06/06/florida-baby-weighs-13-pounds-5-ounces-at-birth.html I love babies! But I'm glad I didn't have to birth this big girl.
My daughter had big babies but not that big. Think Michael was over 9lbs and Nicholas was close to 10 lbs. And they're skinny now. Well, Michael is muscular because he works out a lot.
If I remember right one of my Aunt's on my dad's side birthed a 13 pound baby boy. I remember everybody talking about that and I think it was my cousin Donald but it might have been one of his brothers instead.
They usually suspect gestational diabetes now if you have a big baby but my daughter was checked and she didn't have it. She's also tiny and she did have the worst tears that are possible.
I don't know any of the facts surrounding the birth, etc. I just remember growing up and my mom and my Aunt's on my dad's side talking about this. She had the biggest baby but my mom had the most babies with nine.
Wow..I think for most babies it was my maternal grandfathers mother who had 8 or 9 but only my grandfather survived to a ripe old age. Most died as babies and one lived to be 18. After that I think it was my mom with the most children, she had 4. Average in our family is two with my sister and son having 3. My brother only had a daughter. My middle sister and I had 2. I had a girl and a boy and she had 2 girls. My youngest sister with the 3 had 2 girls and one boy. My mom had us 3 girls and one boy. Seems that girls were the majority until I had 5 grandsons!
